  1. and I bet you think your alone ! LOL I'm guessing "inspector Clouseau " has a sister which I must have married. and some where out there must be more sisters. LMAO
  2. at least Pappy was smart enough NOT to put his arm through the steering wheel when twin shifting. hit a bump/pothole and that wheel can move quickly with force causing a sore arm -(so I've heard )LOL Bulldog had a winter coat similar to one on my '77 F-350. watching dash gauges RPM's didn't move much =neither did the left foot from drivers in both videos while shifting. I don't remember the B61 I drove part time as a fill in having the lady's voice telling me when to turn as with the green Mack.
  3. memory correct; that's the difference between a quad 20 speed and quad 18 speed . dash shift pattern states not to use those two combos.
  4. anything can do to help; let me know. my work schedule is very flexible. this yard in cheshire NOT fenced in but possibly the puppies want to walk the yard for exercise.
  5. sorry for Your loss. I found my best companion ; a 8 week old shepherd husky at a shelter number of yrs ago. he stayed by my side for 16 yrs . as with many 2/or 4 legged ; time takes it's toll. a decision to have him putdown to end his suffering were difficult. at 74 I can not enter thoughts of a new shelter puppy; my knees can't walk it. don't want the misery of putting down a senior dog. in a weird way the contract for this rent states "no animals/pets", possibly a good thing. thoughts of a cat are there . to have witnessed today how Otherdog and His Wife have 3 beautiful puppies so loyal and calm were a great gladness to me.
  6. brain taxing to remember who from watertown bought a brand new R-700 V/8maxi tractor . Watertwon construction ??? . mid 70's , I set it up for new truck prep-- 5th wheel etc.
  7. It would be beneficial to ALL if you comprised a book much like the CT construction trucks . I forgot all about the Mcleary division mixers.
  8. Have a safe and positive trip back to home land. boy did I get static telling the wife of Your offer of jar of hot sauce and said " no thank You !! LOL you both are two of the most down to earth persons I've been honored to have met. THANK YOU both
  9. well I certainly like the looks of that gasket over first picture; LOL
  10. was the most positive way to start a day , only regret was not having spent more time with other dog(tom and his wife Zina ). quick meeting due to fact the puppies were in the truck and could NOT be left alone by ct standards .
  11. never gave it a thought till you brought it up . only difference ;besides the nose conversation are the front axle caps = flat vs concave, which would indicate different truck ?? enlarged pictures ; didn't help much. green/red has frame extension ?? either way both are good looking.
  12. once again thanks to B M T crew ; it proves ones never to old to learn. never had much discussion dealing with history of what was being repaired back then.
  13. Queen St used to be exit 32/ all the numbers were changed to match mileage markers or something. we are couple miles off 691 (X27?). truck stop is X28
  14. looking at the first picture that was posted.no step down seen. possible reason these brain cells went down wrong path in remembering . his truck does have roto chamber as technically called. there was basically nothing to the Mack/wagner can. that style can was also used in other applications
  15. located side road off south Lenord St , right side before Waterbury Sand and Gravel . ??? Waterbury Equipment up street from Waterbury Mack did some of their repairs
  16. I haven't mastered the picture taking/ web address posting .
  17. an original version had the philips head bolts also notice more bolts hold it together.
  18. It took a while but to save my sanity and prove my innocents. I found a picture of a similar NOT exact front brake chamber to which I have spoken. happens to be on ebay . the Mack number is ::19QU396P5, wagner number 103151. old school air chamber not having contoured outer can. /ring of bolts with base; bolt protector.
  19. my shop was 30X50 , when figuring the foundation a side door was installed which lined up with side door of old UPS trailer. took trailer side door off along with wheels/tires ;dug a hole so suspension was lower. could walk from shop into trailer for another added 45 ft of storage. along side that trailer was a second 45ft. everything was full. never saw a shop big enough. had 2 stage 80 gal air compressor mounted in the trailer with 1 in piping into shop. hardly heard compressor running,
  20. to clarify , the front chamber to which I was referring used by Mack early days did not have a diaphragm as picture shows. was similar in outside design having ring of outer philip head bolts holding it together ;;but inside had a plunger ( possibly alum) with large O-ring and felt wiper which sealed against outer shell. constant wear created a ridge inside. repair kit consist of new shell/wiper/o=ring. the 24 replaced this style.
  21. schedule between now and Wednesday will be jam packed for sure, I would gladly pay for , coffee/lunch and do a short meet and greet. no pressure.
  22. lookin good ; both shop and KB .
  23. you can remove the word "was" in your thoughts!! it still is very expensive . worth the drive to N H for buying lottery tickets just so CT won't get any tax from it. receive any part of this 1 billion $$$; I'd go to NH buy a house /change address on everything , then go collect money from lotto in a month when things quieted down.
  24. New Haven Trap Rock ; another name /company big back then but forgotten today, intersection or not for some reason the Mack going wrong way based on lines in middle of road; unless he swerved to left hoping to miss the car.
  25. are You still in CT or headed back ?? didn't see the green machine tooling around cheshire
