issue with the beer for me is the weight gain. last week or so for me attempting to meet a weight number before this up coming appointment ; NO beer/ eating healthy stuff. DR will kick my ass if I'm over weight. last saw him I was 200lbs (6ft) . today scaled in at 183.4 -
when draining the oil/ use a kitchen strainer under plug .strainer usually will catch lifter particles. when Mack went to oversized pans ; what a pain -in =ass . helps to make sure pan HAS to be removed. and we all know oil warm when draining helps.

fortunately I found one of the cardboard stoppers my Grandfather used on his milk bottles having His name on it,, tried in '78 after I bought the Grandparents farm(what was left of it) to keep it going. -

My grandfather delivered milk from his farm by horse and wagon to local towns for years. remember walking into barn (as a youngster ) and being shot in the face by milk straight from the cow He was milking. days todays generation will never understand OR could appreciate. IF we could only go back to such a simpler /positive/ Family environment. -

My hats off to you Sir;; that's courage at it's maximum. alcohol unfortunately has become a big part of my life. between bodily pain and other issues. this is from someone who NEVER drank till after 30.. have been doing a shot of jagermeister regularly. was told yrs ago "a shot a day helps internal stomach issues." -

now we ALL have to be open minded . ask yourself __ what did the generation before think of rock/roll == I KNOW not what we today think of this trash. just trying to be open mined or being influenced by Yukon Jack after a long work Sunday... -
lucky for you being out west where there isn't the winter of east coast. the pounds don't seem to accumulate faster after retirement. Easter Sunday for 50 plus years was the ONLY day I never worked . I worked another 8 hrs plus today at the farm to get caught up for tomorrow . 1 service and packing wheel bearing on trailer plus misc. helped to eliminate the temptation of over eating before thurs appointment.

can see now you don't have the shutterstat system BUT the lower tank self contained (NO AIR) system. disconnect linkage as prescribed and carefully work shutters. -

Back in the Mack Pack!
mechohaulic replied to BOBWhite's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
feedline to the shutterstat should have a 1/4 turn brass valve in line . close the air supply ; shutters are suppose to stay open . will allow for running the unit plus give time to diagnose system. -
it's like a cold ;;feel good now then next minute !!! the age factor same == why do I feel so old and projects take soooo long. I was racing around last week!! NO it wasn't last week but 2 yrs ago. spent afternoon today with back pack leave blower " back then the blower ran out of gas before me == NOT any more. only reason for pushing the limit was trying to drop a few pounds before cardio appointment this thurs. came down to loose the pounds or "pack it in " ALL living things -- be it man ; grass/animals; the ONLY common factor is we ALL have a start/ finish date. tell the wife we are all listed in "the book" .turn page and our names show up; can't change it.

am I reading this correctly ? O&G also bought Rawson ! funny story from years back, O&G were on the prowl buying every concrete co around, one of the son's went to buy a small local concrete co only to find out his brother had already bought it . keeping with rules and regs. many of the companies they bought were "on paper buys" most kept original co name on units. others just closed. -

I agree in terms of childishness 'BUT considering a calendar picture is good company (free) advertising. the "back stab" came mainly due to Hi-Ho being a same state competitor .possibly a fleet cross country picture wouldn't have been as bad. for the day when a company buys 20 plus trucks it was no small deal. both O&G /Hi-Ho purchased a large fleet. not just a basic tractor but dumps. being involved with first DM delivery order (#356==376) , I definitely would liked to see all Mack fleet.
