  1. Kirker was the paint mack used they still have mack paint in acrylic and synthetic i don't know about any imron but be very careful painting imron easy paint to use but very bad for your health if not used in the right environment.
  2. If i didn't have my rentawreck i would be compelled to run right down and buy that truck .
  3. When i was running my 50 ford pickup i did a complete overhaul of the engine bored cylinders new lifters and valves and so on i filled the engine with 15/40 union 76 oil same as what went in all the trucks in the fleet at work that was 20 years ago and that truck is still running. I think you are over thinking this oil thing back in the day the owner had little choices for oil as long as you get something with molly in it for what your doing with the truck it should be ok. I read a web sight about can am spyders and if people were all in one place there would be a fistfight over what oil to run in their spyders same thing on the Harley Davidson sights. Just remember oil back then was not the oil we use today. At cat school i spent some time on oils for engines and hydraulics cat called for 10w. in the winter months and 30 w. in the summer months. Cleveland brothers used Drydene brand oils.
  4. Only an" adult "would come up with a statement of such bs to justify screwing you out of a little more of your money. It is beyond the pale what companys will create to be able to pay their ceo's salary's.
  5. I just got off the phone this morning with Hagerty ins. and i got it set up when my coverage runs out with gulfway twenty eight dollars cheaper for the same coverage and no aggravating bs. Happy!
  6. Anyone get a letter from Gulfway saying they were using Travelers ins.? Now they want to switch to Hagerty ins. I did an on line app. i wanted to see what their price would be and i was quoted nine dollars less than Gulfway. I just hope this doesn't turn into a pain in the butt like most things end up ?

  10. I spent time in an mr front load packer and it was ok it didn't ride any worse than some of the junkers i drove. i had to drive an int. triaxle flatbed with rubber block hendrex suspension that was ruff when empty.
  11. There is an engine show in banger pa. and a guy had one like that one with a 427 under the hood he said it was factory i liked it but i wouldn't know if he was pulling my chain.

  14. Everyone that rode in my b model hates the passenger seat and i don't blame them i had it reupholstered and it just is not comfortable. I was up looking threw the junk yard and i found a 915 mack low back drivers seat looks pretty good shape will it be low enough if i mount it on the floor? And will it move back enough to give some leg room? My cousin is 300 plus and he is going to go with me down to Gerharts. I would like to have something better for him to set on it is a ways down to Gerharts.
  15. For 10 years i took skippy my poodle? to work with me everyone knew skippy i went to a local dinner for lunch and Mark would say i put in a little extra for skippy don't go eating his share. When i go to places i'm always asked about skippy. One day i was up to cooks and tom says we are cooking hotdogs don't leave so i stayed, out comes a hotdog and right to skippy it goes none for me i knew were i stood.
  16. That is back in the day. The guy running that dozer was lucky he had a roof over his head not to many tractors had roofs.
  17. I am disappointed that macungie is cancelled but it is not that much of a surprise considering the condition america is in. I would hope gerharts truck show will go on as planed and some others close to me. I spent all winter in my garage redoing my truck so i could cruse to the shows this summer at least i get to use it to haul hay for my goats.

  19. Isn't he a big anti gun nut if that's the case i can't consider him at all. I'm not a rabid gun rights activist but i have some guns and i do shoot in compation and i would like to continue doing that without jumping through hoops that some retarded ass in government jams down my throat.
  20. Years ago i bought the hf. motorcycle lift jack i use it to to brake jobs. I can't imagine how many jobs i did with this jack. Works really well to remove fuel tanks and battery boxes.
  21. We had a wooden tub for a bathtub until i was eight no indoor water the pump was out on the side of the house. Coal cook stove in kitchen and a parlor stove in the living room. I never want to go back to that basic of life style. As i set at the desk typing am setting were the coal stove set when i was young i lived in this house for almost 65 years and my grandfather's father owned the house before me.

  24. I refuse to listen to the news on the tv my girlfriend is addicted i say their as worthless as a 2 dollar hooker and as trustworthy as the rooster i had to dispatch if you turned your back he would drive those spers right in your leg or ankle.
  25. I like jay and his show about cars and motorcycles this coverage of the triumph almost makes me go get one. I really enjoy my spyder and i liked all the other bikes i had but this three cylinder job is cool. I was going to buy the six cylinder bmw when i went for my last bike but it was a little to heavy for me same as my hd dresser that i sold so i bought the rt 1200 very good bike. Now i'm an old fart and i really get alot of fun out of my spyder i have leg and feet problems so it helps me not to hold the bike up.
