  1. 370AMI internal EGR. Easy fix if you want the throttle response (dead spot) fixed..... take it a little further and you'll have a decent truck. Click on....
  2. Pump panic setting in here. If you want an AR you better hurry.
  3. Our facility head delivered a speech this morning at OSHA training and was quoting Sun Tzu’s “Art of War” as instruction for how he’s running this business... “If you know your enemy and yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles. If you know yourself and not your enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.” It applies. We know Iran. They've been shouting “Death to America” for 41 years, nothing new. Iran doesn’t know Trump or what he’ll do, neither do we.
  4. NY Times........end the article by declaring Soleimanis death insignificant when compared to global warming. 😂
  5. Get your cans of fuel and head for the underground school bus bunker. Trump blew up a terrorist and CNN has us entering WWIII. You didn’t hear as much Media fuss when Obama targeted and blew up a 16 yr old American born citizen, and the restaurant he was sitting in, with a drone. Don’s blowing up real, active, terrorists and not the teenage American son of an already-dead terrorist. I again admire how much DT hates perps who’ve killed Americans.
  6. True....BUT, I think we can all agree if Mack Trucks hadn't been overtaken by Volvo 911 would have never happened.
  7. Probably a sticking VGT nozzle ring or actuator. The pop is unsupported boost dropping backwards out the intake/air filter hsg. Possibly when the VGT frees and drops out. Thats a guess, but I’ll put my money on the turbo. I can unhook a VGT linkage on external mount ctrl modules and build whatever boost I want at whatever RPM the engines running. It does labor the motor.
  8. An automotive instructor from the tech school said that would be deadly on the highway, but it seldom happens there. He nailed it on the head, usually slow, side torquing, turns. I wouldn’t doubt the caster/braking theory.
  9. That’s what my Dodge did. Only I was picking up pet food and turning backwards out of a park spot. It was the left front.
  10. Be curious to see how they pan out. That’s dirty cheap, I may source a couple for the ones I maintain.
  11. You can also download a free E-Tech engine manual off Mack E-Media. Those walk you through it, lots of good pics and descriptions. Make sure you reinstall your heat shield afterwards, it will prolong the pump electromagnet life. Looks like pen oil on it, so you have it covered. Wilbur, was it you who was getting them for a fuzz over $300?
  12. Was scanning news sites this morning and went to google search. Entered “Fox News”. Punched go. It took me to a first search result...... Michael Bloomberg’s propaganda website. I had to scroll down to get to the Fox News page I was searching for. Does Bloomberg own part of google or are they driving agendas?
  13. You still on your first Turbo? I’d pressure check the CMCAC system with engine off and then run it till the rack and pinion actuator for the turbo nozzle ring gives up some top end performance or kicks a code.
  14. We’re pretty happy with ours. We have the JD Service Advisor software and the turn arounds have been fast.
  15. The Deere and the Bulldog, two American icons coming together to recreate the perfect 700 HP heavy truck....... guy can dream. Deere is in good fellowship with ZF on the heavy off road for most of their transmissions, have them construct a transmission.
  16. I'm guessing the compound is added for emissions compliance differences between stationary generators and construction/Ag.
  17. $2,000 from now the boys will be turning to fisticuffs to decide who gets to drive it............
  18. Could consider this the new maxidyne gold tone. Great to see they got rid of the compounding turbo, damn things kept breaking all the exhaust studs like the Mack AC use to. Too much VGT turbo weight. They even dumped the VGT and installed a waste gate. Different block than 13.5 base engine. Oil pan isn't going to work. Check out the EGR flow from right to the left side single EGR meter valve. Keeping in mind the water pump is lower right side driven by the small belt. The flow through housing makes you scratch your head. First it looks like a EGR charger system, its not, but maybe a second cooling stage.
  19. Off Road has caught up since since OTR lingered in final 4. So DEF and SCR equipped. Had a rookie operator fill the 13.5 engine crankcase with diesel fuel and hammer on it for 40 minutes before his trainer figured out what he had done via conversation. It pitted (starved) one overhead cam lobe at the end of the dinner table. Sent a pic to reman center. Told them the hours and what I wanted to do. They said “Go for it, engine’s old enough to be considered spent for reman, won’t hurt anything as far as future core damage”. I put a new roller arm on and ran it. That was 5K hours ago. Tough 🍪 cookie. Not much aluminum on the motor. Not built with payload savings in mind like the Mack E platform was. Cast iron intake, cast bell, built for counterweight at rear of machines.
  20. Adapt the John Deere 13.5 liter engine and paint it Gold. I just calculated the hours of our oldest 13.5. It would have the equivalent of 1,370,000 highway miles on the original. They can top over 600HP. It burns a gallon every every 300 hours, but at 34,000 hours that ain’t too shabby.
  21. Merry Christmas Gents and May God bless you thoroughly in 2020.
  22. Nobody likes a critic John, I understand. But Damn!, for a guy born in 1993 you've already destroyed yourself. You look like Anthony Hopkins on METH. Time to quit smoking & drinking and trade-up those 2 granny lap dogs...…. (I'm declaring open season on computer generated accounts)
  23. I've told the tale, but its worth mentioning some of the worse case scenarios that play out. My fuel salesman had an illegal get stone drunk and destroy his car then drive down his lawn, across the street and crashed into the side of his neighbors house. Unfortunately salesman has a long driveway that Jose mistook for a street. BAM, full speed into his parked car and totaled it. He turned and drove across his lawn onto the neighbors and rammed into the other guys house. Jose then jumped out and ran, abandoning the borrowed vehicle. Guy was undocumented and got nothing for the incident except a ticket to Mexico. No compensation paid, no assets, no residency, no social security number, no drivers license, no liability. It's a recipe for disaster having them around......most have nothing to lose. Enter Democrat Tony Evers to replace Republican Scott Walker...….. First great legislative success is getting the word "Retarded" removed from the State Statues. 🤔?????? Second great success was taking down all the signs coming into our state that said "Welcome to Wisconsin, we're open for business", and using them as construction blanks to spite the Republicans. Third great success was trying (I think still working on it) to get drivers licenses for illegal Aliens!! Can't make this stuff up!
  24. SB210036 covers AC 460P & 460E SB210039 covers all AI/AMI
  25. Off-Road AI is 300 hours, no regard for miles.
