  1. sorry, did not see this post until now. your General Lee 40 watt radio should only use around 5 amps max, so the dash post should supply it with no issues. here is another way to wire it: run the main power wires directly to the battery. than use a large relay connected to the dash posts to turn the relay on/off. i ran Galaxy DX 88HL in my RD with no issues. only issue i had was when i tried keying up with the Texas Star 400 watt linear. it would shut off the trucks computer anything over around 200 watts output power.
  2. the only thing i think of going down the road is "i hope that askwhole dont hit me, and i hope some askwhole don't try to brake check me before i get where i am going.
  3. i had to babysit the "FNG" yesterday. got to the job and boss asked "where is Dave"? i said he will be here shortly. 23 years in construction, but first time ever loading asphalt. he asked where the job was and i gave him a quick turns by streets. he thought for a seconds and said "oh, we are going to Anthonys house"? that was enough for me to know i did not have to worry. spotted him at plant and gave him a quick how to on loading under the plant and i left him to his own thoughts. best part is he is not a speed deamon, he is perfectly fine doing 45 MPH in the right lane.
  4. hey there, watch the profanity ya no good @##$#@#$P$#)#(#$_% !!!
  5. you do know that 90% of the home tests will give positive result by running it under tap water, rite?
  6. Headlines on all the papers in the rack this morning all said the same thing biden fumbled and mumbled away his chance for re-election at the debates.
  7. People really are freaking stupid. Where do they think electricity comes from, unicorn farts and pixie dandruff?
  8. I guess a freightshaker is better than a thirteen letter manure spreader.
  9. my old place was 75% underground. so it would never get over around 70 even on the hottest days. winter was different. usually around 60 or so. but there were a few times i woke up to a skim of ice in the toilet. didn't even have a working heater until the last 5 years there.
  10. Paul, back 30-40 years ago heat did not bother me that much, but I still needed cool to sleep. It was nothing to get out of the dm800 after 14 hours paving in the summer 10 pounds less than you were in the morning climbing into the truck.
  11. Not me. I always complain about the heat. Anything over 80 and I melt
  12. did that vovo come with cargo shorts, flip flops, and instructions on how to put your hair in a man bun? 🤣
  13. Back then, we tried to do as much outside work as possible before the sun came up. Once the sun was up and it got hotter than granny's cookhouse in the summer we did barn work, or put a big sun shade over the tractor
  14. 5 pm last night was 98degrees and over 80% humdidity here in central New Jersey. it was 79 when i looked at 4:30. i am not looking forward to being out in it today. good thing is i will be in the truck most of the day and it has very good AC system. rest of the week we are doing nights. to get away from the bulk of the heat.
  15. its looking betterrer every picture!!!
  16. he may have "detained" them, but once he was sure they would vote demonrat he let them go.
  17. I thought I broke my computer! Again. 😁
  18. sorry, i did not see that part.
  19. NEVER give stupid people the chance to prove they are dumber than you think they are. I asked a rocket scientist to name one good thing pedo joe has done.... His reply was "kept Trump from getting a second term" that was all he could think if. Now that I think of it, He could have been a brain sturgeon and not a rocket scientist
  20. clean looking truck priced rite. but the guys picture taking skills could be a lot better. hard to see things with sideways pictures.
  21. as soon as i saw the front of that truck, i knew it. than when clicking on the picture to enlarge it realized it was a video, and yup, Earle Asphalt E-76. i was just down at their garage facility in Jackson NJ yesterday. i was wondering why it was not outside the garage.
  22. i have agree with the others, good for you!! that jerk is an accident waiting to happen. i would probably go as far as to report him to the state police commercial vehicle inspection unit for unsafe practices after you leave so they can check out his rigs on the road for "deficiencies". i did that with the last company...sorta. only i was still with them and told the officer everything wrong with the truck they would not repair....... and also showed him the copies of the daily inspection reports for the past 2 months, all with the same issues.. bad kingpins, bad suspension bushings, slices in tire sidewalls, cracked differential housings, cracked bellhousing, cracks in cab structural components, pinholes in top of fuel tanks, fuel lines held in place with zip ties, the list just went on and on and on. he slapped a big red out of service sticker on the windshield, and started picking off the other trucks as he saw them. ended up putting 8 of he 15 trucks out of service and had to be towed away. next day 4 were put back out unrepaired and were instant stopped and impounded. they finally learned their lesson and bought 5 new trucks per year for the next 3 years to replace the deathtraps. and then went belly up after the owner got caught bribing federal inspectors to "look the other way" i had already left by then as i knew what was coming, i had been warned he was going down and to get out before it happened.
  23. what can i say? i dont have many "brain farts", but when i DO have one, it is one to laugh at for years!!!
