  1. I have seen it from both a bad solenoid, and also low voltage from bad batteries
  2. I saw one around 10 years ago. It was a county truck. 3208, 4 speed automatic trans, and 4 speed manual auxiliary trans. 10 yard body tandem drive A real slug even on flat ground. Throw a hill or two in the mix and it takes 1/2 hour to go 5 miles. Only reason ted got it was 5 grand with 20 k miles on it
  3. i used to pass a 80's lincoln town car with a window unit in the passenger rear window with wire running to the generator ratchet strapped to the trunk lid a few years back. the car was not in bad looking shape either...
  4. any time i had leaks on the range splitter they were fixed by replacing the o-rings in the head. no need to replace the whole thing when a few o-rings should fix it.
  5. Rubber chicken? I was there, and clearly heard you ask for rubbers, and chicken
  6. agreed. ever since google decided they own the internet it has gotten totally out of hand. i was running a ford falcon site first started in 1999. about 6 years ago google said we had to pay then for secure access. we told them to kiss where the sun dont shine. three years ago they made the site disappear for non payment for secure access.
  7. i will say it again..... adblock plus eliminates them all.
  8. esso changed it's name to exxon 2-1-72. so it had to be before feburary 1972
  9. i dont get ANY. but i run adblocker plus on everything
  10. i always referred to them/heard them called pancake mufflers
  11. it could very well be original miles. my friend just sold a 97 kenworth with only 220,000 miles on it. and i have seen quite a few 80's and 90's trucks with less than 100k miles on them over the past few years. farm and stone quarry trucks are usually very low miles but rode hard and put away wet.
  12. That is 286,500 mules.if it was millions it would be 7 digits plus 10ths
  13. Yes.
  14. three years ago local tow outfit went up for sale after the owner passed away. every relative and their brothers 4th cousin came banging on the daughters door looking for a piece of the action, even though she had not seem 95% of them in over 30+ years. she told them to all eff off, leased the business to one of her fathers good friends, and disappeared. i saw the 84 superliner wrecker for sale about 2 months for $289,000. yea it only had around 75k miles on it and looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor, but the guy only bought it to flip..... for $50,000 i haven't seen it listed anywhere in about a year now. dont know if it sold or not.
  15. an old friend had a 440 HP E9 superliner. took 4 transmissions to find the right combination for engine power and rear gear ratio. he settled on an eaton fuller 13 speed overdrive. that thing would walk away from everything on the road. when he passed away his wife sold it for almost scrap price and it was cut up.
  16. 2023 picture: she is still very attractive at 66 years young.
  17. constitution says president can only serve two full terms. BUT if he takes over for another after i believe 2 years in office, he can then serve the two remaining years plus 2 four year terms.
  18. yup. it is 88 years old. the 37 was all new for 37 and considered much better than the older cars. it was completely build by Cadillac as a luxury car
  19. while that POS senator from Maryland was in ElSalvador trying to get the MS 13 gang banger back to Maryland, one of his constituents was murdered by an illegal.
  20. that driver seat definitely has a whole lot more azz time than 25,000 miles on it. new that thing was only around $60,000 fully loaded.
  21. i was the guy alcoholics in bars would point to and say "when i grow up i want to be like him" then one day 25 years ago after putting my best friend in the ground i realized i was next if i did not change my ways real quick......so i did. i will say one thing though, i NEVER EVER stopped at a liquor store, or even in a strip mall with a liquor store in it while in a work vehicle, and never ever drank on the job. at the time i was probably the only sober one at the company. one year before i quit as truck foreman i went through 36 drivers in a 6 month period. the straw the broke the camels back was the day i went to move a truck and found a spoon, lighter, and needle on a trucks battery box. i walked in the office and quit on the spot because the owner would hire anyone s long as they could drive around the block without hitting anything. one guy i tol d hime "that guy is no good, you will regret hiring him" a week later he took off with the dump box up in the air and hit a bridge, totaling the truck and doing $350,000 in damage to the bridge.
  22. only thing that ever bothered me was scotch and jagermeister. just the smell of either makes me want to puke. jack made me mellow, and takillya made me a mean bartstard who wanted to fight with anyone and everything. i really have not drank anything in 25 years now. there is still 5 Pabst Blue Ribbons in the fridge from 25 years ago. i will have a shooter of apple pie moonshine or lynchberg lemonade, but it has been 8 months since i had either. and even then it is only 1 shot glass full. usually once a year on my birthday.
  23. same here. sounds like a normal conversation between my boss and me.
  24. aint justine beaver the tranny reject canada does not want back?
