  1. I was thinking that too, but there isn't a cut out corner for the air filter tube on this one. I think this is a 70 series b cab because it came with fenders that had the flat extension pieces from the rear of the fenders to the cowl. I couldn't figure out what it was for until I looked at Sandy Angus' B73 (hurstscrambler just posted a photo of it at the detailing shop) a few years ago and the light bulb over my head came on (dimly). I still may be wrong about this which wouldn't surprise me one bit.

  3. No glovebox stuff but I measured the hood and took these photos
  4. I think I might. I have a hood that came off a b73 or b75. Let me know the measurement front to back at the hinge and I'll measure the one I have.
  5. yup they sure are hard to find
  6. He's got other headlights for it that haven't gone on yet. The search for rear hubcaps is ongoing.
  7. My friend Victor came by this morning. He just finished converting his 39 ED from a rack body to a tow truck. Came out pretty damn nice.
  8. Original owner of my single axle Autocar told me he pulled a triaxle tank trailer with it. Later on he added a pusher though
  9. That cleaned up nice, been parked outside for a couple of years.
  10. Sold / traded in a lot of vehicles over the years just did my best to not look back. The one I really regret was selling my '70 Chevelle for the down payment on the house my ex wife lives in.
  11. Yeah the satin black doesn't blow up everyone's skirt but I'm partial to the hot rod look. It's going to have a lot of red and white pinstriping
  12. Well I got back at it and made some progress, Plumbed the A/C and heat, made a lexan fan shroud and mounted the electric fan, painted and mounted the shutters and started to get the wiring octopus under control.
  13. Busybody do gooders getting themselves elected to city and town councils and writing restrictive sign bylaws that make it impossible to get permits for these and also these are really expensive to build now. I did a google search and found photos of them in their natural habitats
  14. Finally got the last of 30 signs up. Saved the biggest for the last. 2 weeks from now we get to take them all down.
  15. That's a stock Autocar grill guard. Seems like all of them in New England had one.
  16. I LIKE IT A LOT!
  17. yeah, need more room for a Yeuingling sign
  18. Don's A-car looks so much better in that photo than these. Some idiot came up an exit ramp never looked and ran him into the median and skateboarded up the guardrail. Serious pucker factor there. If you are going to Somerset, you'll be going right by me
  19. Love to have that one. Pretty tight on wall space as it is though.
  20. 5th or 6th day hanging signs for the movie set. Amazing the work that goes into a few minutes on screen. My buddy in the orange shirt and sunglasses is Kevin All's nephew.
  21. Had to use Porsche orange, closest match to original color which ain't available any more. It was her b-day present so I wanted to get it done quick.
  22. Thanks Bob, now that I finished my wife's VW I'm going to start cranking on the truck project again. Before and after beetle photos.
  23. thanks guys
  24. After doing this for 30 years signs actually bore me but these 2 are really cool. 1950's porcelian Frigidaire and 1920's or 30's GE sign with glass faces.
