Happy birthday OD Hope the head ache isnt to bad Paul

I realize this but with dept our countries carry and are still falling head over heals to get more of I don't see it will end any other way Lots of people talk about it is all planned, and new world order and on and in they go But just like when people roll all their depts frpm credit cards into one bank loan or one cheaper credit card, it rarely works It almost always ends in even more dept and more credit cards Our respective governments and our respective fellow country men will never learn if we keep on bailing them out This needs to stop and people need to learn to fail as does our governments That is how we learn, there is no free ride I dunno, I don't see it ending any other way Anyway, America if I believe everything I read has more than a mass shooting everyday, dunno if thats true or not What I do know is our countries are ending up in a mess Paul

I have heard of blokes running as low as 55 psi in drive tyres on trucks going that are only hobbie type of trucks Smooths the ride out to know end apparently Steer tyres look a lot bigger diameter than the drive, might a optical illusion No matter this the story of the week for the forum, very very cool story indeed Well done on getting the truck back in the family Paul

mrsmackpaul replied to masterwelder's topic in Odds and Ends
The couple of times it's happened to me Swishman I was off road and couldn't get enough traction to unlock So I just jacked up a drive axle and shoved blocks of wood under Gave the truck a boot full of power and got a bit violent with the clutch and was off in 1/2 a hour Paul -
Ive been saying for years we need another great depression I think it is the only way we will all focus on what is important, been a good productive decent human This airy fairy crap does nothing at all to benefit anyone, not even those pushing this garbage I rarely talk political stuff at all but the world is loosing the plot and it needs a bloody good shock to make it stop and think Paul
-

Yes have seen the same thing happen myself Unscrew filters and check if the old o ring is stuck I have had a gas leak LPG type of gas bottle on a house Anyway the flare on the fitting must of been hung up on something, one day I started changing bottles a lot quicker I checked and looked with soapy water a few times and couldn't find anything One day I could smell something and the nut on the flared fitting was loose, I mean not even finger tight and I had checked these I can only put it down to the fitting was hung on something in the nut It was air tight for a long time and suddenly was loose I wonder if maybe you have a fitting like this on a suction hose Sorry for the long winded yarn Paul

Dunno about keeping the cook happy, it's a bloody challenge these days I can tell yah 🤔😁 Anyway the Princess would of liked a new brick verneer Mac-Mansion but there was no way that was gunna happen, not a bloody chance The old parts of country towns in my part of Australia are all big old houses with big verandahs and big tall ceilings Big trees for lots of shade in summer and nice big blocks You cant build character in a Mac-Mansion as much as they try to bling them up with theater rooms and stuff At a guess it's about 90 years old which for this part of Australia is pretty old Should do up into a nice pad, there weren't many two story houses in Australia until maybe 20 or 30 years ago when when they started building the Mac-Mansions Oh what I call a Mac-Mansion is like going to a MacDonald's restaurant, everything is super sized and over the top Paul
-
I agree, I think if they sold them out here I would be at the dealers door a while ago with a cheque in my hand Same if we Mack sold the Pinnacle out here Anyway they don't sell either out here so I'll just keep what rubbish I have until I find something I like Paul

Well not yet Hippy, the trucks and trailers and tractors and dozers and farm machinery will stay put for a while and I'll slowly work out what I'm doing Has a big back yard with front and side entrance so a shed is definitely on the cards once some jobs get done to the house Gunna have to make it a tidy stylish affair for in the middle of town, the shed that is Paul

B-73 Restoration
mrsmackpaul replied to mattb73lt's topic in Antique and Classic Mack Trucks General Discussion
In all honesty it has probably been all for the best to haveall these engine dramas, I know it probably doesnt feel that way but I think it will work out that way It will be a brand new motor and if looked after will out last and give hundreds of thousands of trouble free miles To me that's a good result and the pain of doing all this extra work and expense will soon be forgotten Paul -
Hmm, gunna have to start wearing my town hat now I guess

Well big changes are a foot for my life Princess reckons, and has for some years now that she is over septic tanks, pressure pumps, relying on rain water, cranky animals, peace and quite and has politely suggested with more reoccurring vigour that she wants a house in town So like many well trained men of the world I finally did as I was told and bought a old house in town Settlement was last Friday I'm in for a different life now, a life of no more nudy runs thats for sure 🤪 The real estate agent photo is a bit flasher than mine Hello town life, lucky it is a small town of a few thousand and not few million Paul

I spotted the bed but not the occupant Miss Molly is not overly impressed with the cone of shame she has to wear at night However she is full of beans and ready to take on the world if she had half a chance Paul

Rear passenger axle locking when braking
mrsmackpaul replied to MACK321's topic in Air Systems and Brakes
All is well then, glad you got a good result Paul -
Interesting what we all call things Elephant ears to me are the rubber isolators The outboard trunion stand is known by most as a "claw" type of trunion stand, in Australia at least and only by the small part of the people I know But yes green or blue would be my thoughts as well I would believe it only needs to be jacked until the weight comes off the trunion, the tyres should still be on the ground I would expect, once the tyre walls start to stand straight up and down with out a bulge I reckon that would take enough weight off Paul
