  1. That would be known as a "single spinner" in Australia But yes a lot of coin even for out here Paul
  2. There's a hole were its heart used to be, think that's a line to a song Looking like good progress Paul
  3. Seed, isn't sense and money the same thing ?
  4. It sure is hard to believe These get more abuse in a few minutes than most trucks ever get When I first saw videos like this I thought to myself "you've gotta see this before you fall off the perch Pauly boy" Looks like a lotta fun just to go for a look Paul
  5. I think so, the best that I can relate to is NewEngland trucks from the U.S. NewEngland area not the Australian NewEngland area We have modern scroll work that I dont particularly like, big long stretched out stuff, a lot of new trucks have these I like this older style, to me its much more refined and subtle yet really sets the truck off Paul
  6. Having a bit of fun is what it is all about Halloween was never mentioned in Australia until maybe 10 years ago Big department stores are pushing it, I have never seen or heard of Australian kids trick or treating, yet ??? Nothing like happy kids I reckon, sort of reminds of been a kid Paul
  7. Because, well why not My most favorite part of Australia is the big open flat plains, they go for hundreds of miles and until white (yeah that evil bastard that's to blame for everything wrong in todays world) 😆 had virtually no trees at all, just salt bush and grass The best thing about this country is the sunrises and sunsets, they last for hours and to me are spectacular, I may be a tad bias here Mother natures effort today And to keep it all with in the spirit of the forum "Mr Macknificent" the late Eddie Hollands R 700 Happy d asys everyone Paul
  8. I wonder if that is 4 valve motors only ? Paul
  9. Tail jacking isnt very complicated If you put the cow in a bail to milk her, just tie her tail vertical, as in straight up and down with a bit of tension This triggers nerve and the cow will just stand still After a few milkings like this just untie the tail and most times they will just stand nice and still I only ever use this as a last resort to when breaking them in I always found just walking them thru the cow shed and dropping a little grain and walk along behind giving them a rub and a tickle does wonders I always talk to animals constantly so they know exactly were I am, I feel that helps as well Anyway I'm sure you have it well under control Paul
  10. And the owl ? Paul
  11. Brocky most long haul trucks in Australia have enough fuel carrying ability to get them were they are going with needing to refuel Fuel gets a lot more expensive as you get away from the big cities Paul
  12. Here we go the finished product Paul
  13. Look who was at the bottom of the page Swishman, your famous now mate Paul
  14. From my boys place of employ from before Christmas Started out new and like this And with a little bit of effort The legend continues lol No finished photos as of yet S.A.R. is short Australian right hand drive Anway, I must ask the lad if he has a finished shot Paul
  15. Does the truck get more scroll work ? I always reckon the scroll work really sets a truck off from the norm, thats just me You don't see as much of it as we did once Looking good Paul
  16. Got story, the truck and the memories to go with it, how much better does it get Paul
  17. Or the pressure regulator is set to high Paul
  18. Dunno about year, however we can see it had the wrap around plastic dash, someone in the U.S. should be able to tell you when these became available And it's a air ride cab as well, or at least it isnt flat on the back of the cab so it has the exrra 3 inches in the cab The mirrors are pressed tin not aluminium extrusion From what I can see I would say 76 or newer but that is purely a guess It is a far better looking truck than one in the Convoy movie and even though I have only ever seen the German version and I don't speak a word of German except what I learnt on "Hogans Heroes" it was easy enough to follow and enjoyable enough for me to watch Paul
  19. Before pulling the head I would just bung the injectors back in and see if it's fixed Then maybe a compression test But I'm no mechanic but I do fix my own stuff Paul
  20. Fill it up with the MIG until you have enough sticking out the manifold to weld a nut Then just unwind the stud and replace It is easier than you might think to do this I was dubious to say the least when I heard about this way but it really does work quite well If it keeps on breaking off, get a set of jumper leads and a couple of batteries series, maybe go three batteries Clamp one end to the head and the other to the nut you have welded on and put some decent currnt thru it This also helps to loosen things I think been a cast iron that this last step wont be needed Even if the stud is broken off a fare way down, just slowly build it up with the MIG Paul
  21. Hippy, I'm very determined and had some really special tradesman as a young apprentice They gave me something you can't learn in school and something has to earnt not taught The gave me self confidence in my abilities without hopefully been a cocky smart ass Trying to think how to explain it My tradesman of a different era than today must of seen something in me and my desire to try and fix anything Because they took time to teach me and really changed the course of my life They never did it for most apprentices, just the odd one I guess I was very respectful with out kissing ass and wasn't a cocky smart mouthed piece of shit And when I stuffed up I openly admitted it, they never really went crook but I certainly could tell when they weren't impressed with me They taught me how to not rely on others, but rather use my own brain and my own abilities And I had and still have a very strong work ethic Manners and and a good work ethic will get you further in life than any collage degree or university education So without sounding like a wanker I just plug along and do the best I can do myself, I get a huge amount of satisfaction in the doing of things Making videos for youtube was more a way of recording what I do for my son in years to come so he can see that even a dumb ass like his father can have triumphs and failures but we should still be proud of what we try and achieve Sorry more dribble from me Paul
  22. So what type of aircleaner are you wanting Maybe bung up a picture of what you would like and someone can point you in the right direction Paul
