Yes the Aussie spirit was alive and well back then stick it to the government well and good men had balls in those days and stood up for what was right and fair more Australians need to remember what that flag stands for and fight to keep the values that we have fought wars, governments, and other countries we all need to remember what people have fought and died for and what that flag represents long live the free and fair Australia and if we are not careful we will loose it many times in many industries the government has tried to take our right to make a living I hope and pray that we continue to stand together and tell them rack off its our country not there's and we will run it the way Australians want to run and if they arent happy with that can go buggery Paul Thanks for posting Kev
  2. Ok the question at the start was do pure bred Macks have gold dog's the short answer is yes but also the have silver bulldogs and I only just learnt black bulldogs question for all the Mack experts what Mack has a Mack Bulldog ????? Paul

HMMMM all very interesting funny thing is Mack Australia is a lot different than their US brother yesterday afternoon I was working in the shed and my boy yells out for me to come to the phone I get to the phone and Mack Australia is on the other end of the line asking am I happy with my truck what would I like in a new truck how do I find the dealers ect ect yeah,yeah you all say BUT and its a big BUT I have never bought a new Mack there was no hard sell I was asked what Mack Australia could do better apart from bringing back the R model cool powered Mack back I couldnt think of anything to which the bloke on the other end of the line agreed and then we started talking about how good the coolpower Mack is and how the thrive on really hard work it was like an echo down the phone line obviously a older Mack man he told me he would pass my suggestions across to the powers that be The point Im making is we make out that no one cares but I was stunned to get a phone call good onya Mack Australia does anyone else ever get a phone call about there 34 year old dream machine from the people that made it all those years ago to see if I am still happy with the Mack they made you never know who's reading the forum and taking notes about what we want and dont want like and dont like free market research for Mack Paul

Well you've all let the cat out of the bag now I cant tell you what we call Vegemite in Australia or Peanut Butter the sensors would chuck me off the forum But needless to say Vegemite is good if your crook tea spoon in cup hot water Vegemite soup get a mouth ulcers put some on the ulcer problem solved put enough on your toast first thing in the morning it will warm from the inside out I could go on all night but we will have shortage of Vegemite as the Yanks get onto the next new health kick Paul

As far as I know at least in Australia the gold dog came out with Maxidyne powered trucks and was to represent the new Maxidyne motor Plenty of people say it is only a pure Mack drive line that has the gold dog but Mack Australia's official word is it was when the Maxidynes came out in the 60's How ever I think today any new Mack that has the all Mack drive line has a gold dog but from the late 60's till the end of the production run of the Maxidyne thats what the gold dog was for Paul
  20. check the big bolt inside the tail shaft yoke on the output shaft of the trans these are known to come loose some times Paul

  23. well Tim I can say one thing for certain you wont find any country side that pretty in Australia . Australia is pretty much flat and dry theres a few bumps not big mountains like NZ That sure is a pretty place there keep those pictures coming Paul
