  1. aprons are always handy I reckon you can work on stuff out side hose stuff before it goes into the shed and helps to keep the shed nice and clean as well at least on the floor Paul

  3. maybe some crap out of the jerry cans went in the tank and is blocking the line or the filters got blocked as it sucked the dirtiest fuel from the tank when you almost ran out Paul
  4. first you got work out what the problem is I agree sounds like its sucking air have a real good look along all fuel lines for some damage maybe something has come off the governor inside the injector pump but I would check the obvious things first If you cant find a air leak hook a small drum of fuel hang it up high and try to see if you can get it to run like that Paul

  8. welcome Stina plenty of Scania's and Mack's in this wide brown land I reckon Scania started coming out to Australia in the early 70's and have been used everything from road trains to inner city delivery trucks and are held in fairly high regard Good looking ride you have got there Paul

I was speaking to a bloke that goes over to the states quite often and he reckons there are more Macks running on Australian roads than US roads and I think he may be right they seem to be everywhere over here he reckons you hardly see any new Macks in the states Maybe the US can learn some lessons from their Australian cousins but I doubt that the powers that be would even listen to what goes on out here Paul

  16. is it coming out the joint or thru the casting or steel housing ??? might need to paint the inside of the housing or casting to seal it Paul

Welcome to the forum could be a number of things but I would start with simple things first is the air regulator hooked up the correct way ?? did something get in the air lines when the box was out and cause a blockage ? if you apply shop air strait to the air ram on the box does it shift ok ??? Paul

  19. welding heads was once very common in todays throw away world not so common you would have to find the right place most head reconditioning places should be able to point you in the right direction Once a head is welded if you really cook the motor again the crack will open up I think it has to do with different expansion rates of materials but if you dont cook the motor they last forever depending on were the crack is it is very common on cool powered Macks to have cracks but they still work fine As to your question dunno the answer, looks no one else does either might just have to try it and find out Paul
