  2. Submarine Base New London where there are multiple Attack Subs (SSN's) based out of http://www.cnic.navy.mil/regions/cnrma/installations/navsubbase_new_london.html Then there is Electric Boat's facility- the shipyard where they build them. http://www.gdeb.com/
  3. The US Navy Submarine Force Museum and Library, at Submarine Base, Groton Connecticut. That portion of the base is open to the public. Other portions of the base are not, especially to you. No offense.
  4. We saw Santa Clause. Extra Small was highly unimpressed. We saw the actual chart track of the USS Nautilus SSN 571 first voyage under the Arctic Ice Cap. I saw a super rare picture of a Jevic Cabover Freighliner Condominium. These had the second-generation 3406B ATAAC's and 13 speeds. We saw (Hell- we went on board the USS Nautilus SSN 571- the first nuclear powered submarine and the first sub to ever transit under the Arctic Ice Cap from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean. I don't know how the order of the pictures got screwed up, I think it's Otherdog's fault. Here is a close-up of the track chart. I saw my father get a little emotional while telling Large a story- My father was an IC Electrician 3rd USN (USS Seneca ATF 91) and part of his job as an IC Electrician was to run the movie projector and to obtain new movies. Here, he is telling Large the story about how he went aboard the USS Thresher SSN 593 and swapped movies with their IC. About 2 weeks later on 10 April 1963, the Thresher and all hands were lost at sea with all hands. We are all standing in the Crew's Mess aboard the Nautilus and Dad saw the movie projector and it brought back the memory. As he told the story to Large, I could hear him getting upset. Here is the prime rib which I prepared New Year's eve. Normally we have it New Year's Day but SWMBO had to work.

  9. Of the Polish trucker who was murdered inside his tractor by a radical muslim shitstain who took his truck and committed a horrible act of terrorism in Berlin. A news story I was listening to quoted the trucker's boss as saying "He was a long time employee who was dedicated to his work, was good at what he did and enjoyed his work. He was also a family man and he will be dearly missed."

  21. One of the main 16" guns of the USS Oklahoma are here in Bethlehem Pa at what is left of Bethlehem Steel- at the old deep drop forge building where the guns of most (if not all) of the BB's of the United States Navy were cast. A Navy Vet friend of mine went over there today and laid a bouquet on it.
