  1. No, it is not possible. As stated, there is always a witness from UPS on hand to witness the destruction, plus the scrap companies have to sign extremely air-tight contracts forbidding them from even the mere thought of parting out......**OR ELSE**
  2. This has been standard operating procedure for UPS for years. There are only two ex-UPS rigs that exist that I know of- both owned by the Mack Museum- a CNG CH in the museum itself and an F-Model daycab which is on loan to the America on Wheels Museum in Allentown, Pa.
  3. Did you read the fine print where it says that is only valid on leap day?
  4. Oh, by the way.....you are required to obtain a permit to enter the Philly area, has to be signed by myself or 39babymack at the diner of our choosing.........
  5. I was a Civilian Firefighter at the US Navy FD at the Phila Naval Shipyard FD a ways back when I was young and when that yard was FULL of inactive ships in the mothball fleet. Not too long after the PNSY shut down (after they finished up the overhaul of the carrier USS John F Kennedy) the Fire Dept was downsized and I was sent down to the Aberdeen Proving Ground FD. I used to love working at the PNSY FD and still go down there once in a while to visit the guys. You can't see it in the pics, but the USS JFK (which is now inactive) is tied up at Pier 3 over on the Delaware River. The Bridge that you cross when on I-95 is actually going over the Schuykill River about 500 yards north of where the Schuykill meets the Delaware River. We used to have a small fireboat which I was qualified to pilot, and I knew all those waters like the back of my hand. Was fun times back then.
  6. This morning.....overturned car E/B MM 63.5
  7. I am a member of a VFD that covers portions of I78 between Allentown and 33. And we are up on that godforsaken piece of road at least 3-4x per week on wrecks, and have to extricate (use the jaws of life) no less than 2-3x per month.
  8. Hey.....How did you get my sweatshirt, OD????
  9. Where was that asshole Yardo at????
  10. You'll have to go into Bethlehem or Allentown for that.
  11. Remember our discussion about Medium and bar fights a while back? Here he says "YOU SHOULD SEE THE OTHER GUYS!" He got into it with four bikers defending the honor of a pretty girl.
  12. No, the wife is working so I will have to stay at home and commute.
  13. If you are having issues with your primer, you really should bite the bullet and rebuild it while its out. Contact Waterous and get a rebuild kit for it. Also, if you are interested, if you plan on drafting a lot, look into converting it over to a Trident Air Primer. What a world of difference.
  14. Maddog, for what it's worth, my wife enjoys going to the TK, and is OK with taking the kids there (they even have a kids menu.) It's not like the Nuns are stripping or anything. Friday night is the ATCA "Family Reunion" picnic, which you have to RSVP for- but I think that is now closed. Saturday night myself and a few Sterling Truck friends get together at the Fogelsville Inn- maybe that's what you were thinking?
  15. Gotcha in on the count already
  16. No, Friday night is the picnic.
  17. Just a reminder (as if you needed it) that next week, June 17-18 is the ATCA's Annual Father's Day Weekend Truck Show in Macungie, Pa. I'm sure that Doug Maney is busy with both the Show and preparing the Museum for visitors, and may or may not have time to get on here. Is anyone that is coming going to be in the area on THURSDAY? If so you are cordially invited to dinner at the Tilted Kilt in Allentown (Lehigh Street, near the Museum.) You are responsible for your tab. If you are on Facebook, respond to Doug's post, or you can respond here....Just to give them a rough headcount. We usually meet up around 6 or 7 and go until someone passes out, throws up or starts a bar fight, whichever comes first.
  18. Those damn photochoppage wimmin, they're like gnats.....can't get rid of them
  19. Firebuster, please dont take this the wrong way. I was just told that you have bitzkrieged just about every known Mack forum in the known universe over the past few months. The two best guys do not know where it is, therefore it has probably been scrapped. Hate to burst your bubble but it is what it is.
  20. I have put out a message to Mike Martinelli.
  21. Start around 0800. Right now volunteers are working to restore the 1945 NM 6-Ton Army Truck. Last month my father, myself and my 12-year old were painting the woodwork for the rear body OD green while some of the other guys were doing frame and chassis work. Other folks work on dusting the display trucks, dusting the shelves, mopping the floors, general maintenance, etc etc etc......Usually break around 10 for a quick coffee break/bullshit session and knock off around 12-1 and sometimes some of us go to the Tilted Kilt for lunch.
  22. Michael I am working on some answers for you. I suspect two things: 1. That those tie rod ends are not exclusive to C-Models 2. They may not even be exclusive Mack parts. Will let you know as soon as I have answers for you.
  23. Heard back from my guy in the Netherlands. Not many C-Mack Firetrucks in Europe at all, if any other than yours, therefore parts will be slim to none. Can you see if there is a Mack casting number on them? Perhaps they are not exclusive to the C-Model. I have to believe they could have been used on other Mack chassis. Anyone know the answer?
  24. Don Schumaker. Royersford, huh? Come out every second saturday of each month and volunteer!!
  25. Michael I know a fella in the Netherlands that may be able to help, I will see if I can raise him on Facebook and get back to you.
