You must think every company and every segment of the trucking industry is the same. For a large over the road company that only has steering wheel holders this may be true. Between the cheap/ light spec and poor drivers the truck is lucky to last 10 years. Auction prices are not a function of truck worth. The shifter on my auxiliary transmission, Rockwell T226 transfer case, has an annoying rattle. The shifter consists of a loose clevis joint at either end of the rod and a metal shifter bolted to the floor of the cab. I added nylon washers to the lever pivot to take up the slop I have temporarily reduced the noise by running a bungee cord from the rod to the bed but it is still annoying The hole in the floor is covered by a thin piece leather, originally there was just a 2"x4" hole in the floor. The front clevis is a pain in the ass to get to and the pin on the clevis on the transmission is frozen in place. How can I quiet this noise down
