  1. I love my new one! 10,000 miles and not an issue yet. My low DEF light came on when it was almost empty and my dealer called to ask of all was well. I do like the guard dog. The leather is also great
  2. I have a 2015 with a Mack 18spd. All my older trucks are also mack 18spds, but I have the damnedest time shifting this new one. If you have luck with the fullers I'd run them. As for rears, I've had way better luck with macks for traction but if your highway driving it don't matter.

  4. Of course you could get one till they quit making them......
  5. I'm with Maddog
  6. I'm all for being a nice guy and being fair but I can't really see helping this guy. If you didn't know the frame was repaired wrong, how would you be able to disclose that to him? That's why used vehicles are cheaper. It'd be one thing if you intentionality screwed this guy but it sounds like you were being honest. He should've inspected it better. I know.....I sound like a dick but people gotta take responsibility for their own actions
  7. That is beautiful!
  8. Someone once told me if your boost gauge flutters, move it to another port on the intake. They said you can get turbulence from out of the head
  9. Here's what floored me..... No ditches along the road?! Lol that wouldn't work here. Your place is BEAUTIFUL!
  10. When I was in college for heavy truck they always said a good rule of thumb is 30,000 hours to a million miles. But I know a lot of newer guys the computer shows 40mph average.
  11. I guess it looks like the pete or kenworth now. Just a little more accents.
  12. My trucks haul milk off of dairy farms. 10-12 pickups on a load then 70 miles on 70 mph interstate to the plant. The old '96 cl with 427, 18 spd, 3.86 rears and stage 2 injectors will average just under 8 mpg. Gross 79,000 when full. The 2001 cl with 460, 18 SPD, 3.86 rears and stage 2 injectors will do 6.8-7.4 mpg. The 2015 titan with a 525 18spd and 3.70 rears right now is averaging 6.2 overall. He grosses 89,000. I was taught when you drive you pretend there's a egg between your foot and the throttle. Don't crush the egg! But I have noticed that the quicker you get to cruising speed without stomping on the throttle the better your mpg is.
  13. Is that a shaker cab or western star cab?

  15. Technically you're supposed to pump grease into both grease zerks till grease comes out of all four caps with no air popping out. Then wipe off excess grease.
  16. Great engine, great pulling motor. Check the coolant nitrate level before you buy it. I also like to replace injectors and do a valve set every 250,000-300,000 miles.
  17. That is the noise it should make.
  18. I don't know if you can tell from the pics but the dryer is hose clamped to a bracket and that bracket is just bolted to the radiator frame.
  19. Just read your post, if one of my trucks is in my shop tomorrow I'll get a pic for you
  20. My 96 cl rear was all milky white, changed grease and three months later it was full of water again. I ended finding the housing was cracked between the bolt holes on the banjo. Ended up replacing the housing.
  21. My '01 460 stock would push 38-39 psi boost
  22. Absolutely go aftermarket! But not cheap aftermarket. Duralite is the brand I always use. 7 year million mile warranty.
  23. 1995 RD688S we bought brand new. E7 350 mechanical, jakes, Fuller 8LL, Air ride, 18fr, 4.17 ratio, 236 w.b. with a long after frame too. 570,000 miles, did injectors and valve set once and also had a clutch replaced at 420,000 because of a bad pressure plate. Pusher and tag are both air up/air down. Everything is aluminum except for the inside rims, has many alum air tanks too. Stainless visor, a/c, dual air ride seats, has no cab rust but doors are starting to bubble. Original paint. Has a 5600 gallon Brenner Milk tank but will separate, weighs approx 27,000 lbs with empty tank. Lotta truck for the price! $37,000. Pictures to come soon! 320-293-9810 Mark
