  1. I had the same problem with tie rod ends for my '60 B but was lucky enough to find a new pair. Fortunately the king pins are OK. I have a new set of king pins Mack part #301SQ 45A. I'm not sure what they fit. The pin is a little over 6 1/2" and has bushings for upper and lower.
  2. ...and then be sure the fuel system is clean with fresh gas. Then run a can of SeaFoam through it. The other possibility is the valves could be sticking at start up.
  3. I sold a duplex direct in operating condition for $200. PS it weighted in at 800+#
  4. Me neither. Talk about big.
  5. Looks great especially the new bumper.
  6. I've got to say that is pretty cool and looks to be well done.
  7. Great pictures. Always nice to have memories and reminisce at Christmas.
  8. I remember Giant having the show trucks and seeing them at different events and promotions. I have several friends that worked their careers with Giant and it was always the "place to shop" until the company was sold. I don;t know anything about calliopes or how much they would add to the value of the unit but it is one nice truck & trailer.
  9. Nice trailer, likewise on the Winfall womins.
  10. Welcome. Beautiful units. You have the beginning of the procession which hopefully is way off in the future.
  11. This is listed on ebay for sale. Not mine just happened on to it. Here is the link for ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/B-Model-Mack-Truck-Steam-Calliope-Giant-Foods-steam-whistle-Circus/292836584080?hash=item442e6baa90:g:CusAAOSw~odb~ela:rk:1:pf:0

  17. Wish you had been right.
  18. Always nice to have the "rest of the story".
  19. Thanks for the reminder of an event "We Must Never Forget!".
  20. Those look like water temp sensors to me.
  21. That was great. Thanks for posting. PS too bad GHWB didn't make a second term.
  22. This is a '67 F-750 with a Holmes 600 I had years ago. Great for dragging stuff home.
  23. Thanks for the link. It could be a nice one if you threw enough $$$ at it.
  24. Is there a link for the ad?
  25. Yes, I had the same issues in several places on the front sheet metal. As Jim said shims and thick washers to the rescue.
