Outside condenser motor went out last night, I first suspected capacitor, but, alas, its motor itself, one those sealed lubed jobs, trying to locate motor now, getting the runaround though, AC people suck!

nope, had motor tested, it was capacitor, dual duty one, nobody had one, southern engineered and wired a single duty paralled with double duty and all is working now, total cost,,20 bucks, and a lot of head scratching on wiring

  2. No, he wants a Peterbilt cab, nothing else will do.
  3. But that Craftsman 1/4" drive ratchet is about 37 years old, wrench about the same age best I can recollect.
  4. thank you...thank you very much.
  5. They had these "units" right beside the one I bought at Tractor Supply. They're nice, I just didn't need the gas grill.
  6. Thanks leversole, great pictures!
  7. dammit again! I hate to hurt one's feelings...
  8. here's what you need- thought I suggested this last year.
  9. pay no attention to hatcity- grill on brother!..no offense Ed
  10. Speaking of ridicule, my new unit is now complete- all I need to do is smoke some meat. here's my left arm- i'm tightening bolts with a Craftsman 1/4 inch drive ratchet and a Snap-On 7/16" open end wrench. here's my right arm, tightening bolts- same specs as above Got the grates seasoned and in place Even oiled the outside!
  11. You're exactly right, that's why I didn't glue it back in, I thought it would be useful! These guys, their minds stay in the gutter
  12. Dammit! Why didn't you tell me this the day before yesterday David, I could have heisted a Food Lion shopping cart and saved myself all this ridicule as well as the money !
  13. Rob, I feel like i'm being picked on about my new unit, so now I realize how you feel. Therefore, I will not be picking on you any more... OK, enough of that- so, where does your primary cord work?
  14. You should go to Tractor Supply and git you a grill and cook something for her, it's very rewarding.
  15. I've gotten everyone in the grillin' mode now! Nice unit, whatever works, eh?
  16. I see you went with the optional rottissery attachment instead of the offset firebox. Be careful with all that torque, you might turn your unit over.
  17. These are the best looking Western Stars. I don't like the newer ones where the cabs look like they've been over inflated. Todd had a couple of Low-Maxxes, I think they were called, and they were butt-ugly.
  18. Have to agree about the internet-like the grill I just bought, and digital cameras, I always google things before I buy to see other people's reviews and comments, and just to learn more about it, even if I go to Wal-Mart or somewhere and get it.
  19. This might be better than a Peterbilt, not sure about the pecker thing-there's a pony just up the road here that I do envy a bit.
  20. That offset firebox is what sold me on this grill, should work great for boston butts, and ribs. I'll have to season the grates before I use it, and they even reccomend coating the entire grill with oil so i'll probably do that too. I never had a nice big "store bought" grill before, except for the little small ones so i'll try to take good care of it. In fact, I might not even ever use it. I told Jo I was gonna throw the coffee table out and keep it in the living room.
  21. Perhaps I just assembled it wrong-i'll look at the picture again. Besides, it was not $150- it was $149.99
  22. I went back and read the instructions, came out a little different this time... easy assembly? my ass! there was 9,000 parts to this thing! had a defect too- ...knot fell out, leaving a knot hole! lookin' like a grill now,eh? The grates are cast iron so I have to season them before I cook on it.Prolly do that tomorrow- see, it's a buffessional model grill-weighs about 9,000 lbs! Nice unit, everybody's invited when I try it out. Might take a while to get used to it, 'cause ya gotta know your equipment for good barbecuing. Now I can throw my old barrel grill away-all the antifreeze flavor had burned out of it anyway.
  23. Naw, that's on purpose, Jo likes her steak so rare a good vet could get it back on it's feets, I like mine well done.
