  1. http://alumitank.com/fuel_tank_accessories.php This store can build them for you if need be.
  2. I think you could be dangerous if you had good sense. Thats a good one.
  3. Beats me but make sure and let us know when you find the problem.
  4. http://www.hillcrestcamshaft.com/Camshafts/main.htm A freind has used this shop for a mack cam and lifters.I was impressed with the work and you need to call them. They told him that they grind for a cat rebuilder maybe the factory.
  5. And for what ever it means to you i would not use a used one that i dont know about if they give it to me. a new one from mack is 327 dollars and worth the money to me. There is some after market balancers out there.Like done been said you can mic it by the mack instruction if you want to.But do not run the engine with that on the engine.
  6. Does this engine have dyntard cam and i am sure it does and if so which marks are you using on flywheel? On a dnytard the valves have to be set on the right mark.
  7. The cat house here has had some freightliners for a few years. I know as for back as when the 900 MB came out in the FL70s. I remenber going over to a body installer that was installing some equipment on the new trucks and one would not start. It drove in but would not start. The reader would not read the ecm.At that time when i was talking to the shop forman a welder was welding on one just like it next to it. They refused to understand beings they had done this hunreds of times before.
  8. Like Rob said. Also what trans you got makes some difference. I would be carefull with the 350 fuel setting if its only a 6 speed. But if a 9 or 10 speed then go for it. I would not go any more than the 350. Thanks Rob and Barry for getting me back on the site.
  9. So years from now when she comes in the bathroom and craps in front of you when yor shaving then you know the honeymoon is over.
  10. That is so mean that its funny and she will always remenber you.A woman needs something to remenber her guys by.
  11. Check yor fuel mpressure then you can start on a ideal. Needs around maybe 25 or better.and if that it bthen the supply pump valves or the over flow valve or sometimes called regulator check valve. A clear hose or sight glass would sure help.
  12. Also if not already done you should check for fuel in the oil. Take a samlpe and send in for the check.
  13. The slip may be out of time. But it should bind ever 1/2 turn if it is timing.
  14. So what caused that maybe water in the fuel?
  15. Rob that ball your talking about can be pressed out but you cant buy a new ball. My freind Alvie took one out of another arm and pressed it in and then welded it.I my self dont have the nerve to try somthing like that. That ball is pressed in and then swedeged over on the back side i would think its cause the factory dont want to weld it.
  16. They have to come out.
  17. The B or C never had a turbo. It was a end 864 but the ENDT cme out in 67 maybe late 66. It was a twin turbo. The first twin turbo as i was told that left the factory was in a F700.I rrmember very well the first one sold here. It was a different sound but had fuel pump problems until the V serials was released. The B615 was a END 864 with a very small oil pan for axle spacing.
  18. He may have though your who be hanging around in his way and he said to him self get rid of him now. Has he done work for you before? You did the right thing by saying no.Ihave had guys come out and want to help but was nothen but a drag and this is after you have priced the job. Nothen but a body standing between you and your tool box. Then some guys are a real help.
  19. Rob thats too much information.
  20. Well he has got parts for me before but he ant found no wheel hubs for my mack yet.Hope he didnt for get me.I need 4 out board drums and hubs for a 44000 or larger rear.
  21. They may be and they may not be. Look at the two engines and if both have 20 5/8 head bolt studs then they can be. Then look at the surface of the head that the head gasket seal and look to see if both have the groove cut around the combustion are for the fire ring. The eary ENDT 673 did not use the maxidyne head gasket with the fire ring.
  22. I dont know about mack electronics but cat DD or cummins will show rpm when running on starting fluid. So if yours will not then it may not be picking up the engine cranksensor. I am guessing the tack here is ecm driven.
  23. I talked to a driver out at work some time back that lived in Ca and he was a transfere dump driver. He Said the transfere was just another way of life with him. I said why them and he said that one reason was weight restriction in the city and with them they can get around better plus take two different materials at the same time to same job.
  24. Let me tell you what i saw a young man do one time. It was a E 7 mechanical engine and i think he only replaced head gaskets. He ask me to help him cause no start. He or we bleed it and it would run on start fluid and nothen wrong with start fluid if you will use good sense but it would not fire. We bleed lines when running so that was not a problem. I ask him about ever thing he did and he happen to tell me he did not pull injectors so i said did you use a brush on them. He say yes a brush in a drill motor. We pulled the injectors and he sure brushed them. I think it stopped them up cause i sent them over to fuel shop and they replace 6 nozzles. Then it starts. You cant use a brush like that on the tips.
  25. I dont think so but here the thing about a lead seal. If its leaking it excessive blow/by. The oil is seal back with a slinger on the crank. If a lead seal is leaking it needs a over haul. When i worked for mack years back i remenber the forman had to show a few coustomers that by replacing with no help on the leak.
