  1. The mentioned problems of cracking exhaust is because of excessive heating. The issues could be that they didn't drill the DPF DOC SCR filter, or the filter has collapsed - all this would result with an exhaust restrictions. You are supposed to put a 5inch hole in the center of filter, and my tuner recommends fitting a pipe in that hole(to fit tight) so the filter does not collapse. I've done more than 500.000 miles with my deleted MP8 - and never had a problem like that! The tuner I use is https://truckecmtunes.com
  2. Mp8 goes from 415 to 485. 500bhp is on 2010 and up.
  3. If you are deleting it, I recommend my guy https://truckecmtunes.com
  4. Go to parameter programming, there select mid128 and you will find boxes for programming the injector codes. The thing is that you need to have PTT that has those things unlocked (level as high as dealers). My tuner saves the injector codes before programming, and make sure to put them back. I learned all this from him, and I done quite a few Volvo/Macks and never had issues.
  5. On my Macks fan comes on 210. You can change when the fan kicks in parameter programming using ptt program.
  6. I did quite a few of those, and never had a single issue. The guy that does them for me, states in his instructions that you should verify that engine fan is working after the delete. Also I remember that he told me that there is a parameter on which temp. fan kicks in, you can change that in ECM. Check out https://truckecmtunes.com
  7. I am not sure if they do those macks, but they did magic with my MPs. Take a look at https://truckecmtunes.com
  8. if you are replacing injector make sure to program new injector trim codes/files. you will need ptt program to do that. also, injector cups are common issue on those
  9. Yes that is true, but still I had to do it and I don't regret it.
  10. considering the fact that i almost got bankrupt, i just have to share the following with you, it saved me. no matter how much you invest in repairs - it won't run well. https://truckecmtunes.com/
  11. i think you can use it on VMAC1 it has that option, but i didn't try
  12. maybe try using a program such as Norgeon JPRO - that is not bad at all. i had good luck with it. i do thing that you can reset the learned data in PTT under Engine section - and something called Aftertreatment data... (can't recall). best option is deleting it, this saved my ass big time https://truckecmtunes.com/
  13. Problem with the guys I use is the fact that they insist that you have diagnostic adapter and some repair experience, but I can tell you for sure that they are the best money can buy. Reason I am saying that is because I re did couple of bad delete tunings done somehwer else, and had nothing but good luck with them. Also they can do the OBD Macks and Volvos. Thumbs up for https://truckecmtunes.com/
  14. i use nexiq usb link with the laptop that has ptt (vcads pro). works pretty good, has a lot of troubleshooting...
  15. had same issues like you did, and i solved them by deleting everything take a look at https://truckecmtunes.com/mack-dpf-egr-def-scr-delete.html
  16. i didn't own the e7 mack, but i did own mp8 solve all my issues with this company https://truckecmtunes.com/ can't thank them enough. saved my ass
  17. the ones i can recommend for mack, volvo, cummins and paccar (they did my macks, and my friend used them for cummins and paccar). https://truckecmtunes.com/mack-dpf-egr-def-scr-delete.html
  18. you will for sure have issues with dpf, at least i did on all my trucks
  19. they performed great! no issues at all. the only thing i noticed was boost going from 35 psi to 25-26 psi, but that is normal because it is open exhaust now. i thought that it might have less power because of low boost, so i took one non deleted truck and a deleted truck (both sister trucks). hooked up same load, and used land marks to determine what kind of speed will it get on certain distance...and the speed is the same. once i prooved that to my drivers, they stopped complaining and started driving normal. then i got .5 - .7 MPG more. not hell of a lot, but still better than nothing, right! also no issues with dpf egr scr def - that saved my ass.
  20. it would save a ton of money & work if there was a tune that would eliminate the egr and vgt on old macks. i asked my tuners, but they don't have it. are you happy with power & mpg?
  21. if you are looking for someone to do emission deletes, i would recommend http://truckecmtunes.com/truck-dpf-egr-vgt-removal.html they saved my ass from bankruptcy when did my mp8 dpf egr and dpf egr scr deletes. 0 issues since.
  22. as i posted few times, i done mines with https://truckecmtunes.com they run great! these guys are able to do the tunes online, if you become their dealer or if you are a fleet (i guess 3-4 trucks is min). i got a laptop from them (since i did quite a few trucks, they gave the laptop with diagnostic software free of charge), and i do everything online.
  23. did mines through http://truckecmtunes.com/ issues free! works perfect! highly recommend.
  24. dunno is it legal or not, but i do know that it did save my ass! i spent thousands fixing the bad dpf system on a mack mp8 of mine. i got a delete done through http://truckecmtunes.com/ and i had 0 issues since. my dpf is drilled, and my egr is blocked off. no regens, no leaks, nothing!
  25. i did deletes on my macks, through http://truckecmtunes.com/ everything works perfect! no issues. high recommendations.
