  1. Nascar....its full of participation trophy drivers. You have to keep holding the good back so the rest can compete? Though money does win races today and if you don't have the money, you can't win very often. I gave up watching decades ago. Hell, I don't watch NHRA either.
  2. He could have been stuck long before the train also. Long enough it wasn't an instant concern, until the train showed up. Just an observation. He did pull the latch on the 5th wheel.
  3. Happy Belated birthday. Sounds like you had a good time with the family.
  4. Lol.....Ya FE's and those darn upper manifold bolts and the open hole. What a PITA. Been there, cussed a lot.
  5. You caught me mid sentence and had to rewrite my post. The only other way would be go by size. You would have to press it apart. They may make a similar bearing and seal but not to whatever specs the original was. Maybe better? Vlad, thats the tough part. On this side of the big river a "carrier bearing" is the proper term.
  6. With transmission and all, I would likely not use the manifold. I made a plate for my 237 and bolts in the front of the motor but I didn't have transmission on it.
  7. Light switches and plug sockets. I'm sure other things too.
  8. Fellow from PA that used to post here has a super nice R600, green, steel dash, single stack with a shack that is just a super nice throwback to the typical 70s hauler. I think it was his Dad's truck? Can't say his name to save my life right now.
  9. I got my 237 head gaskets off Ebay. It was a Felpro top end kit.
  10. Start with penetrating oil over a few days, then left hand drill bit. May find it comes right out. Studs are typically installed hand tight, so unless it's rusty, it should come out.
  11. Uniform company supplies the towels. I can remember way back we went to paper towel rolls. What a freaking mess that was. Paper towels all over the floor!!! We then went back to washable roll towels. Sadly today the rolls come in looking like they only rinsed then with cold water! Still dirty looking and stained. Then rolled all twisted so they get knotted up in the dispenser. Go figure. Now if I could get them to deliver soap? I have to beg for that every time the guy comes in. Never fails, like yesterday. I forgot to ask and sure as shit....no soap and the dispenser is empty! Dammit.
  12. Still use at my work. After 37 yrs, I still have to replace the damn rolls because the guys in the shop are 1)lazy, 2) clueless.
  13. Welcome aboard. You've come to the right place. Always remember.... Pictures or it didn't happen!
  14. I'd be patching up my original for that kind of money for sure! I get it...they have it and how bad do you want it?
  15. I did the same in my truck. Luckily it was just round tube and easy to duplicate.
  16. Drivers seat or passenger bench? My drivers seat mount was round tubing, so not sure what was factory in these trucks?
  17. Maybe? I distinctly remember South Bend. There was a Pete with a Wilson trailer next to a picnic table and that's where we sat. I was parked right by the JOT tent. Peters H model was right there with the little camper behind it with the "narrow load" sign on the back. I left my trailer out in the field, which was knee high and sopping wet from rain. I hated walking back and forth. Mike fudged his "trailer age" and left it hooked to supermutt and parked in the show field. I have done the same ever since so I can leave my trailer hooked to the truck and have everything right there.
  18. South Bend was the only time I got to meet up with Mike. We sat on a picnic table and BS'd. I'm pretty sure that was my only meeting with Michelle also. Mike did hook me up with shiny parts for my hood a couple years ago when I painted it.
  19. The reason they want a VIN or what the part is for....is because of liability. The customer buys it, installs it, gets hurt/worse then goes back to parts store to sue them for selling incorrect part. You and I have knowledge and common sense but so many don't and can't be left to themselves to make decisions that are safe. Thus lawyers and VIN numbers!! Sad.
  20. I wouldn't trust anything from Amazon in this instance. Too much CHI-NA knockoff junk that won't stand up. I have a local truck parts house and buy everything there.
  21. Photo capabilities likely still better then most bank photos of a robber!! Lol.
  22. I wonder how far dressed they refer to that weight? Clutch? Bellhousing? That big stuff adds up quickly.
