  1. Rainy forecast was a bit more on target at my house. It looked like it might rain, but never did.
  2. I was unaware that there was a time when UD built something that actually looked like a truck.
  3. Anyone know when Diamond Reo stopped offering the small cab? I believe it was still in production in the late 60's, long after the White cab became available. I think it should be mandatory that, when posting pictures, it is noted whether or not any U models were spotted. I might save a reply here and there.
  4. Tell that to your boss and I bet he'll stop the "you're getting old" comments. Of course, he'll now have a different opinion of you.
  5. Love those IH pickups. There's a member on the Brockway site that's rebuilding a Colprovia 360 with a V12. IIRC the truck was also owned by O&G??
  6. Yep. It's in the Southern Culinary Dictionary, between crawfish and crunchified.
  7. 2 bulldogs spot one another. Cool shot.
  8. Did you lose your hat? Maybe it's because you were wearing when we met, but you look nekkid without it.
  9. You better throw a coat of paint on there too, just to be safe.
  10. Very nice truck. Welcome to BMT!
  11. Looks a bit like an AeroCab.
  12. Delivered to the Giant Eagle there. I ran through the streets proclaiming "It's pronounced Louieville...Louieville!" but my cries were ignored.
  13. A safe and happy Labor Day weekend to all!
  14. I watched one episode of Shipping Wars and that was one too many.
  15. You probably didn't see the Cruiseliner because it's parked in such an out of the way location. The rabbit's name is Punxsutawney Pete. Every February 2nd he predicts that a bunch of college-aged drunks will gather in a local park to get a weather forecast from a groundhog. Unlike the groundhog, he gets it right every year.
  16. Could be a Worldwide Equipment location. The have a Mack/Kenworth dealership in Jane Lew, WV.
  17. I wondered what the plural for Louisville was. I can scratch that one off the list.
  18. That's quite a distance to drive in a daycab. Don't they all?
  19. This one will prolly get better fuel mileage....
  20. My Grandma got smaller as she aged, but nothing compared to what the Statue of Liberty is going through. That's a nice little collection of Fords. The 9000(?) in the back has the fancy-schmancy grille and might even have the dee-luxe Custom Cab option.
  21. I speak for many of the members here and I say this with all due respect:
  22. Not sure, I lost consciousness.
  23. Take your time shifting, read a paragraph from your favorite book when passing through neutral. You'll get the hang of it before you know it. I hope you can get a few more drives in before old man winter stops by for his annual visit.
  24. I'm just seeing this thread for the first time. It's worth repeating to say you did an excellent job of maintaing control under the circumstances. I've had one steer tire incident where the tire lost air over a period of about 5 seconds while travelling about 60 mph on a dry interstate. Not a blowout by any means but it damn sure was an attention getter. Hope you're up and rolling soon.
  25. Sorry, I really should wait until I regain my composure before replying. Thanks for sharing.
