  1. Looks great. I like that you have all that chrome but kept the spoke wheels.
  2. Sorry to hear about you're Superliner. Good thing you have a back up.
  3. That would confirm it's who I thought it was. I'm guessing he did at least slow down to 60 mph in the 45 mph S-curves.
  4. Welcome! Be sure to have your left arm hanging out the window when driving the Volvo, regardless of how awkward it may be.
  5. Happy Birthday! i turned 50 last year and lemme tell ya, it friggin' sucks IT'S AWESOME!!
  6. Did you get a truck number? license plate? description of the driver? brand of oil filter he was running? something? I actually know who it was as there would've been only one Sterling running north that night. We may have crossed paths near the south junction of I-70/I-79. I passed through that area around 8:30 because we are being detoured around the closed eastbound on ramp at I-70 exit 25. It's not likely you would be able to get by me unnoticed. I'm always checking out flatbeds I come across since we run many of the same routes. Since I'm out at night, I also try to give a quick scan of places you're more likely to be found i.e. rest areas, on ramps, adult book stores, the back row of truck stops, etc, etc, etc.
  7. Very sexy.
  8. The Libs are prolly trying to phase out National Anthems in favor of a "Global" Anthem. One day, we'll all be just one big, happy f***ing family.
  9. Rain coats don't work. I was wearing a rain coat when we conceived our second, even had the damn hood up! You should post the gif as a public service message. Now THAT'S safe sex.
  10. I can see now how it was a good choice for serving a practical purpose without taking up much space. Nice work. It's going to be beautiful in a few years.
  11. To each, his own. And if it makes you feel any better, It's been 17 years since my last 17th birthday and my first 17th birthday was 17 years prior to that!
  12. Dr City, can you put that in layman's terms? I don't understand that medical stuff.
  13. Happy Birthday! I had cake and beer at 6 and by the time I turned 7, I was drunk, fat, and stupid. That's no way to go through life. As David Gilmour puts it, every day "you're older, shorter of breath, and one day closer to death." WOOOHOOO!
  14. What did you do? Park your Superliner alongside it and rev the engine?
  15. Congratulations! When I read the title I was afraid I would see a pic of your 3 boys and you with your pants down. This is much better. Getting fixed ain't no big deal. They use a local anesthetic so you can watch as all those sharp instruments converge on your pride and joy. If you feel you have to sneeze, DON'T. One more thing. The smoke that will be coming from your crotch during the procedure is normal, or so I was told.
  16. Here is some info from brochures of that era:
  17. Glad there were no injuries and hopefully a valuable lesson was learned. I was in a similar situation back in May. One too many cars was trying to beat me into a construction zone and I wasn't slowing down to compensate for their stupidity. The end result was a barrel into a "Care Bear's" car and I'm assuming a hefty fine.
  18. That's a typical Monday for me because I'm switching back to the night schedule for the week. The 2 hour nap before going to work helps quite a bit. I'd like to see the finished product.
  19. Welcome. There are some members (most of them, actually) that are more qualified than I am to assist you but here's a couple of things to check while waiting for those who know what they're talking about to check in: Is fuel not reaching the injectors for some reason? Have you checked for codes? With all the electronics these days there are multiple reasons for this. Any additional details you can provide will be helpful. Now that we have Vision456 as a member, we can retire the old Vision386.
  20. The pic was already there by the time I saw this. Imagine my confusion.
  21. I've had 2 hours sleep in the last 24. The plan above was so successful that I'm going to see if I can perfect it today.
  22. I'd have to consider shooting out the neighbor's light if this were the only other option.
  23. Yeah, I'd say that's a problem. I'm fine with the manual release. I'll take my chances of getting dirty to not have to worry about additional ways the fifth wheel can fail. Also, the more in-cab controls there are the more likely a driver is to skimp on pre- and post-trips.
  24. Looks like the cab could use some dust control, but I bet it would still clean up nicely.
  25. Welcome Dagotwit! I once dated a dago twit.
