  1. I'm not proud of every descent of a hill that I've done but like you, I survived them all and got to see first hand why you need to be in control BEFORE you start down. I may not be very bright, but I'm not as dumb as I used to be!
  2. Nice representation of Mack cabovers.
  3. Every man and woman in that photo could prolly kick my ass. That's why I'm so nice to every one.
  4. I can hardly tell the picture was edited!
  5. I've seen the video a few times, but never the post-crash photos. I hope the victim's families are okay with this being shown in training classes because it really drives home the point of why it's important to choose the proper gear and not rely solely on your brakes when descending long, steep hills. I don't know if this was the case in this accident, but some compaines have trainers and trainees run as a team. How the hell can a trainer evaluate a student when one of them is sleeping most of the time?
  6. Some guys have all the luck. Happy Fathers Day to all of you with children and those who have stepped in to play the part when needed.
  7. That must be one hell of a scare for a driver to not only be out of control, but not knowing when or how it will end. The Jake on my Sterling is pretty lame but I fortunately I don't run the steep hills every night. When necessary, I drop another gear to compensate for the lack of effectivness of the engine brake and go down slower than I would like. It can be frustrating, but the truck stays on the road, with the tires on the bottom.
  8. I wish i could've made it there, but it's good to see I was well represented by my fellow members of the "well, he has a great personality" crowd.
  9. I didn't think any of this weeks catches were pathetic, especially with your gripping descriptions of each photo. Nice interweb finds.
  10. Will we be retiring his VIN number? (calling it a VIN number is redundant since the N stands for number. I hope he is reading this and still learning, wherever he may be.)
  11. Wham, Bam, Thank You Ma'am. I gonna go drown my sorrows in a gallon of ice cream.
  12. Looks like you had a very exciting week. The folks in the red suv should get that crap off the roof so the dogs can ride up there. I believe both statements to be true.
  13. That one has me stumped, but I keep going back. What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. This is the only pic that I've ever seen of the wreck.
  16. Company policy requires me to have headlights on during the day, but I'm not sure about nights. I'll have to look that one up.
  17. There's one in every crowd.
  18. That must've been quite a wreck if the only part that was salvageable was the driver's door.
  19. Peterbilt can throw the term around all they want, but that B model is what class is all about.
  20. Nice Tom-aters. If I had 100 bassett hounds, I would name every one of them Winston.
  21. Belated condolences on the loss of your wife, Tom. I sure she was beautiful in many ways.
  22. If you were trying to score a touchdown with question marks, you missed that. You went way out of bounds.
  23. Congratulations! He already has more hair than I do. Yeah and none of that Photoshop Kodakotronomy(sp) stuff either!
  24. I would first find out what that means in "Iowan". You may have to start with flowers and chocolates.
  25. That's a very nice G model. Good to see it passed along from one caring owner to another.
