  1. The fella who let me use his for the night has Sirius and experiences problems in the same areas as I did. It's not nearly as mountainous or rural here so losing a signal won't be a major issue. I'd rather not buy a better antenna to install on the company truck, so I'll just take what the little magnetic mount has to offer.
  2. Good to hear you were out and about. Continue to follow Doctor's orders, whether you agree with him/her or not. We'll be thinking of you.
  3. Any reception issues out your way? Mine drops out 4 or 5 times, mostly for a few seconds, on the first long pull of I-68 east of Morgantown,WV. After that it's fine throughout the constant ups and downs from there to Cumberland, MD. I'm using the little magnet mount antenna that came with the car kit. Howard Stern isn't part of the Select (basic) package on XM. I'm not sure If I'll ever have a desire to upgrade to the next package, I'll have time to decide that while listening to the bazillion stations I already have.
  4. Seems that the year info may be the result of using a VIN from a replacement door.
  5. Happy Birthday......I forgot his name....Mr. Jumper!
  6. Got it. I mistook virgin for new rather than uncut.
  7. Not what i would normally listen to but I'm always open something different. I imagine some of his callers might be a bit far out, but I'd like to hear what his guests have to say. George sounds like he is easy to listen to, which is also important to me.
  8. I was referring to Bruce Springsteen concerts.
  9. My thoughts on the bumper, too. I prefer that shade of green to others shades found in R and even the B models.
  10. GO!... hmm..guess she didn't hear me....GO!....she's already asleep. Just twice for me and at least once for the Mrs. but not together.
  11. George Noory is on one of the talk channels I programmed but have only listened to a few minutes at a time. is there a lot of UFO talk on there or is it just my timing?
  12. I missed the small letters and the narrow axle. The tall intake got my attention, I see it has the 2 pipes but I'm not sure of what difference, if any, there is between that and the one used on the tip-turbine engines, appearance wise. I thought that style of fuel tank were used into the mid-70s
  13. I admire you folks that have not only the skill but the paatience necessary to complete these jobs the right way and live to tell about it. I'm pretty good with theory, but something gets lost on the way to my hands and patience is not one of my stronger suits. Do you always turn new drums? I've seen worse. Some of my coworkers have night vision and can pre-trip a trailer in the dark without a flashlight.
  14. I changed my mind, you deserve that woman. I was feeling sorry for you, too!
  15. And it will also provoke some of the wettest, sloppiest, nastiest kissing you'll ever see at a concert.
  16. Holy Crap. I decided not to actually watch it when I saw it was 7 minutes long. Was "99" from Get Smart the only brunette alive in 1966?
  17. I realise there is a possibility the chassis could be a '76, but I wouldn't bet on it, The cab, wheels, and air intake all look pre-73 to me. http://auction.hendersonauctions.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=3621323&LP=TRK&
  18. It's worse than I'd imagined.
  19. To answer Tom's question "Am I ga-?" well if you are buddy then so am I..uh ...but I'm not! I"m confident enough with my sexuality to share this little tidbit with the group. While I am generally a Classic Rock and Oldies fan, my favorite song of all time is not what you would consider as being either one of those, although it did make it to #1 on the Pop charts in 1968 and when it played on XM the other night, it was not on the Easy Listening station, but on the 60's Pop station. I've liked this song since the first time I heard it at age 6, playing on the mini-jukebox on the counter at the P&P Diner in Port Washington, L.I. Something about it makes everything seem right in the world when I hear it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6cPXvTqasg]
  20. Yes, of course. These folks are so white that watching them makes me question my own ethnicity.
  21. I'm a newbie to XM. I didn't think I needed it until I used a different tractor one night. The day driver was telling me where he stashed the antenna plug and I told him I wouldn't need it, I'm a CD and FM'er. He insisted I give it a try and left his in for me and OMG, WTF, and LOL, I was hooked. I jumped in with both feet and went for the "Edge" radio. I can Pause, Rewind, and Fast Forward within a rolling 30 minute window, I have arrived.
  22. What, no King Family? I think they may have had only an occasional special on TV.
  23. Wise decision.
  24. Sounds like my XM favorite channels 1. Classic Rock 2. 70's Pop 3. 60's Pop 4. Classic R&B 5. Classic Country 6. "Escape" Easy Listening 7. Blue Collar Comedy 8. News/Talk 9. News/Talk 10.Steve Sommers-the guy practically puts me to sleep with his long pauses.
