  1. Very nice photos and a clever idea, too.
  2. Whoa!!!! How about a little advance warning next time? You could've at least buried that top pic. That was worse than ripping a Band-Aid off one of my hairy palms. Oh BTW....Happy Birthday!
  3. Good to hear it wasn't as bad as it could've been and that the kid at least acted like a man when it came to accepting responsibility.
  4. As a Long Islander, I was raised in the belief that NJ was just a stinky place one had to drive through on the way to PA. I had no idea about the beautiful hills in the NW an seemingly endless farmland in the south. I wish I'd invested in Hoboken real estate back in the 80's when folks first realized you could see the Manhattan skyline from there. Talk about homesick. I wish I could re-create the pungent (and possibly carcinogenic) smell of the northern end of the NJTP in the form of an air freshener. It would bring back some great memories.
  5. I've been busy this week and haven't had a chance to come on here. Have you folks been playing nicely? As has already been said, ALL pictures are appreciated and there are several members on here that are computer savvy enough to help anyone in need. For those with the issue of pictures looking in fine in the preview but then appearing upside-down in the post: perhaps flipping it before hand would result in a right-side up pic in the final post??? Think of it as "high tech reverse psychology". I have have something I'd like to share with this community regarding what is clearly an insult the intelligence of all mankind is possibly the stupidest movie ever made: Idiocracy is freakin' hilarious and, despite feeling dumber after each time I watch it, I can't get enough! You misspelled bored, you hillbilly! To soon?.....I'm sorry.
  6. Spend a day an hour a few minutes in LTL and you'll see how those 4 things can have an adverse effect on driving in circles the movement of freight.
  7. I'm waiting for the punchline....... Good one! Thank heavens for Google
  8. Where's that? Those are the four things I cherish the most in the whole wide world. How could I have missed it?
  9. You need to lose your map reading skills and be free of logic, common sense, and compassion for your fellow man. Complete those steps and reapply after 60 days.
  10. Yep. Mon-Fri nights. Remember to strap it on tight and DON'T LICK THE FACE SHIELD.
  11. Your money is going to a good cause. I suspect that many of those who will be charged $15 will hand them a 20 and tell them to keep the change.
  12. I'm not sure why but I've always enjoyed looking at old family photos, even of people I didn't know.
  13. Kinda like Bedrock. Fred Flinstone kept passing the same house, boulder, and tree every time he went for a drive.
  14. Wow. Nice history on Bulkmatic. Mr Celli certainly made his mark on the industry.
  15. Welcome! I'm from North West Virginia, or Pennsylvania as some like to call it.
  16. Too many of the older Macks are still running so it's difficult to come up with an accurate figure as to how long they will last.
  17. This topic was a great idea Tim. I was looking for a place to dump all those surplus "Likes" that I've accumulated. Way to go......
  18. My dad used to tell me stories of the things he's seen around where he worked in Hunts Point but it was something you had to see to believe. He would exit the CBE at Sheridan Expwy to get to Hunts Point Ave. After exiting the Sheridan the street runs under the EL for a few blocks. He was stopped at the light at Westchester Ave in the middle of the night and called me out of the bunk to show me something. A group of kids were dragging the shell of a car into the middle of the street ahead of him. Fortunately the street and sidewalks were wide enough to get mostly around it but he ran over the front end with his trailer tires. He eneded up with 2 flat tires on the trailer but was able to keep moving and get back to his shop. Being raised on the Island I thought this was normal behavior in "the city" and it wasn't until I was older that I realized how bad things were back then.
  19. I think there should at least be some type of certification which doesn't require the time and expense of a CDL. A truck hobbyist bobtailing around in their pride and joy may be one of the safest drivers on the road, but there are some RV'ers out there every year that scare the hell out me. You might wanna study up on that to prevent an akward situation on your wedding night. Best wishes to you and your future Wife!
  20. Looks great. Good Luck!
  21. I hope you didn't scratch your truck while driving past all those glass cutters. I don't know where that is and don't remember ever going there. I guess she's a non-smoker.
  22. Remember when a Nissan was a Datsun? Now the name Datsun sounds as silly as Nissan did at first. I must've taken forever to drive that up from Daingerfield.
  23. Nice looking Ford on TruckPaper.com http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=4210635
  24. The snowmobile reminds me of The Grinch. Okay not really. I'm tired. http://www.commonwealthfoundation.org/imgLib/20121220_Grinch.jpg
  25. I was the counterweight. Dad gave me strict orders to not go left of the bulldog.
