  5. I think Tony Champion of Rockhampton QLD AU has one of the R800R's that he is restoring?? I saw it from a distance in 2015 and if I remember right there was an article on it last summer in the ATCA Double Clutch??
  6. Dan Thanks much for the 320 info.
  7. My wife and I went to the ATHS National show in Yakima Wash. It was our first time to the Pacific Northwest. Ran all back roads west of the Mississippi river. Went from Yakima down to the Redwood forest in the north west corner of Calif then back north on US 101 along the coast to Above Seattle to get on the ferry for Alaska.. Then back home on land!!
  8. Hippy, I just sent you an email thru here..
  9. Tom, My thanks also!!!! They bring back memories of the many places I have been to, but never carried a camera😨..
  10. Dan Please give us a little more info on this 320 model.. It must have been quite a Hoss as the 220's (and was there a 240?) were about the biggest I have ever seen???
  11. Looks like it was a great local show!!! Thanks for taking the time to post.. Are you going to be in Leesburg FL next month??
  12. I thought it looked Suit Kote'ish when I first saw the ad..
  13. The heck with shooting them!! Let's go back to public hangings!!!!! Might make the Ba$trds think twice???
  14. In the late 70's and early 80's I remember taking trucks to Central Spring. They did good work then!!
  15. Tom Millard posted the entire Brockway Huskydrive information in the Brockway section of Other Trucks in the Odds and Ends area.
  16. Thanks Tom!! It is more info than I knew..
  17. Tom, thank you for this info. I understood also that they stayed separate until about 1970 when the design / engineering departments started working together using the F model Mack for the 400 series and then the Sheller Globe conventional. In 1963 I worked for Crispell Automotive outside Ithaca NY and the Brockway Salesman would contract Dick Crispell to do some warrantee work so the trucks would not have to go all the way to the factory branch in either Elmira or Cortland. Also there is a Huskydrive question in the "Older Mack Engine" topic of the Antique Mack discussion area.
  18. In the mid 60's into about the early 70's Brockway had what they called "Huskydrive" which used that Cummins 270 with a 5 speed behind it with a 2 speed rear that you only used in 5th to actually make it a 6 speed. A lot of the regional freight haulers who did not run heavy used this combo. Oldspwr , Tom Millard, can probably tell us how many were made??
  19. Were all of Moore's trucks red??? If So, he may have had that paint sitting on the shelf!!
  20. Yes you are!!! Thanks for the picture!!! They are always welcome.. Just so you know this site has a large limit on picture size,, after while you will have to go thru a hosting site like Postimage.com or similar.
  21. Happy New Year everybody!!!
  22. Also when it comes to replacing the horn button check out fork lift steering wheels. The Clark lift horn button fit my Diamond T perfect.
  23. I used to cross the dam all the time with a 48 footer on the way to Reno.. One day we were running early and parked in one of the wide spots northbound and walked down and did the old visitors center but it was too late to get inside to see the big generators, which is what I went back to see..
  24. I attempted to visit the Hoover dam on the way home from Reno 2 years ago.. The have a car inspection on top of the hill before you get to the dam.. My Dodge 3500 has a flatbed with tool boxes.. I had to open everyone of them so they could look!! Then to get into the visitors center was worse than airport security, and I had a pocket knife!!! Went back to the truck and headed for the Grand Canyon..
  25. Joey, I hope he can survive the next 3 years.. IF he leaves it gets MUCH WORSE!!!!!!! Harris and Pelosi!!!
