truck only idles

hello frends.

a frend came to our truckshow this weekend.

his ch started to run bad and the last miles it only idles.

if you step on the trotle nothing happens.

if you start the engine it runs at 800 rpm and when you step rthe thotle it fals down to 600 rpm.

it has a electronic throtle pedal.

the engine malfuction light comes on as soon as you start the engine.

hope that someone can help me.

my frend went home by train to pick up his other truck and come back to pick up his trailer.

he left the ch at my place to see if i can get it running again.

I would say you need to attach a test tool.

It might be pedal sensor or electronic throttle drive.

Or any small sensor you might have no idea of its existance.

Might be bad connection either.

Try wiggling the bulkhead connector by the injection pump.

put a new feulpedal in en it runs like a superdog.

May be as easy as recalibrating pedal.

The engine has de-rated. You have a stop engine code for something, probably emissions related, and until that's fixed, it won't run.
