Some of that is more than a little biased, for example the Moors in "Spain" controlled the Iberian peninsula but lived peacefully with Christians and Jews also living there together for a long period.

There have been wars between factions of all religions over the millennia. One can't look at the Spanish inquisition as less that an attack on other beliefs. Few today believe that the Catholic Church is bent on subjugating the rest of the worlds religion.

To project forward what has been, to make a case against a belief today, then do so for all religions equally. Christianity has its own fanatics but I don't judge it by those few.

That's very interesting point on the upcoming Hajj time as a reason to end up the conflict. On the other hand the conflict barely limits Hajj procedure on my mind since Mecca is far away from the gulf and Iran didn't hit Saudi Arabia facilities excepting those US-related (at least as they publically said).

There was an interesting moment regarding China recently. A couple days back the gulf countries put a resolution at UN (initiated by Kuwait?) with attempt to legalize power salvation of the Hormuz pass blockage. The resolution was blocked by Russia and China (with a few more neutral votes including Pakistan). Russia had interest for the blockade since gets profits from higher oil costs that's clean. But China could be expected to have opposit interest on that. And they acted protecting Iran instead. Maybe they worry on possible damage to Iranian oil terminals with perspective to not purchase Iranian oil at all?

Никогда не бывает слишком много грузовиков! leversole 11.2012

Just hit 11.38 US dollars a gallon in Ireland.Truckers/Farmers and Plant hire companys going broke daily.Massive protests in many parts of the country. All roads into the capital city,Dublin, are now blocked by trucks and farm equipment as well as other major citys and fuel import depots.Goverment acting like gombeens( Irish slang for fools). They are talking about calling out the army to move the blockades as towing companys have refused to get involved. The protesters have a lot of support from the people.Theres talk of civil war if the army is deployed.Interesting times here at the moment....

That seamed to me to be an even handed look back, at least as far as the history as I remember it from living back then and from what I was taught about the "early days" of the Shah.

Interesting to hear it from a prospective produced outside the US.

So the Dems on the news call President Trump a King and a tyrant for going after Iran... Now President Trump has called for cease fire during negotiations, and the same Dem News people are calling him a 'TACO'  .. something like Trump Always Cowards Out...  What the hell is wrong with these Dems..???
