I am hoping and praying I could at least go as many years as you bud keep it up. I’m afraid to say you work a lot harder than I do right now all I do is hold the steering wheel for nine hours a day.

you are talking 2 different types of work. physical trailer work is a challenge  ;; BUT behind the wheel of big rig== I couldn't do it any more the mental stress  is 100 times worse then physical today with the ignorance on the road. for ever grateful cell phones were not common back then.

Yep,  just wish it had an 8 LL. However, the Allison 6 spd. Moved it down the road pretty good.  Its amazing how quiet this truck is..

That’s the way they all are now. I really can’t even hear mine going down the road. It’s not like the old days engine clattering fan howling. Days are over. I don’t know how I got them so quiet lots of insulation I guess. …. Bob

10-4..  it drove very good, of course its only got 5,000 miles on it.

My T 880 only has 2,714.3 miles on it.  😁  what engine?

I have a 565 HP 15 litre Cummins with the allison roughduty 6 speed.

when you are up to your armpits in alligators,

it is hard to remember you only came in to drain the swamp..

Little engine. With automatic they are good, but a real slug with the 8LL.

We had that 370/8LL combo in the Pete 348, and no one wanted to drive it cause it would not get out of its own way.

I think the Cummins ISL is an 8.3 with common rail and a longer stroke. I've ran a IH 1688 combine with the old mechanical 8.3 and a newer 2588 with a common rail Cummins. Both of them have had water pump failures and the common rail Cummins uses quite a bit more fuel.
