I worked on Moffet and Princton Teledyne forklifts for about ten or so years I always spec'd them with Kubota engines I liked the Moffet's the better of the two brands. When I placed an order for two Moffet's I was offered the chance to go to Ireland to visit the factory the trip would have been free from the factory but I would have had to take the owner of the company and I didn't want to spend time abroad with that asshole pissing off the people of Ireland

My Moffet has a Mitsubishi 4 cyl. 1500 cc I think, The next series had Lister Petter 4 cyl. Engines, and then after that, they were all Kubota powered. We had M 5000's and some M-55's and one M-55P. That one had stabilizer arms at the wheels to stabilze the useage of the scissor fork board.  It was pretty cool.

I think the first Moffet had a Lister powering it. There wasn't anything wrong with the Lister I just liked Kubota products better I have owned a b2150, b7500, b6100, L3800 and a Mx5200 the last two loader backhoes I will keep the Mx around as long as I can breath very handy, for heavy lifting I have a Clark forklift rated for about 5,000 lbs. I used it to unload my Summit lathe the tcm 5,000 forklift from work wouldn't lift it but the old Clark lifted it off idle it did steer a lot better with that lathe on the forks

I use mine to set Mack engines on and off the engine build stand.  Very handy for those 2500 pound engines.

I made a fixture for lifting the big cam's at near perfect balance. You installed one way if the clutch was already installed and flipped it around for if it wasn't.

Single line lift makes aligning the engine to the mounts easy, a line-up bar with the engine suspended just off the mount, and you could start the bolts. same for stabbing the trans, with the single line you had more then enough movement to stab the trans.

I had done both with a big fork truck, but found the overhead line method easier.

Took me a minute to see it. A tornado came though (before I owned the place) and that tree was how close to the house it got!

14 ton Terex comes in handy too sometimes. Started the swap over today.
