I bought that truck when I worked for Mack. I have a few others, even an 'R' Model tow truck with an American Flag design. I think you have the same one.

So for a while now I have been a CDL trainer at work. I am currently working with 1 employee.  He's doing good, so for fun I thought I would give him a Birdseye view of his slow maneuvers course. As you can see, I only use the Best tools for this illustration. image.thumb.jpeg.7336e0d7b04fce4e1f84afea6879285d.jpeg

I love collecting toy trucks and trains. Do a good bit of modeling and I noticed a few others on here do as well!

I have a DM 600 that I bought at Hobby Lobby in Macungie about 7 or 8 years ago, but I've never even opened the box. I see all the models you guys build, and the detail, time, and effort is just amazing to me. I could never do it justice and it's too intimidating to try, especially with the arthritis in my hands, so I just leave it on the shelf.

thanks for reply. R611 tandem dump with 9 speed way better than a 5 speed maxi .have seen tractors with 5 speeds made in to dumps many times only single axles. have some limitations when off roading job sights.

YOU can do it !!! good winter project; keep you out of trouble. I just acquired 81 brand new cans of model spray paint at an auction !! what colors do you want ; I'll send them out. LOL possibilities are endless. stretch the frame and make a 4 axle tractor. the one I showed You when in CT only took ???? months to build.

Just use Rotela in it.

I asked the seller man what kind of oil he used and that's what he said. He's also a truck owner, as in A model Kenworth.

Old T4 has the goods. Additives don't really emulsify ( how about that fancy word ??? ) when dumping them in like if they were added in the manufacturing process. Older flat tappet cams do like zinc and there's some oils that have it right in them . Usually not found at the front of the oil display.  Then there's T4 Rotela

I used to put straight 30 weight Pennzoil in all my vehicles, cars and pickups, year round. Never had any issues. Now you go to the oil store and there's a whole aisle of different oils in all different shapes, sizes, and colors. So many it's confusing.

The experts on the 351M page said the high milage oil was good for older engines, I used to put that in the Dodge pickup, but all they had at the oil store was either synthetic or a synthetic blend. And the experts said that you shouldn't use synthetic or a synthetic blend oil.

I think in a running engine, the important thing is to keep it changed. I'd use what the guy was using in it. Anything newer , gotta determine what goes in it. Like the newer direct injected gas engines are very fussy about the motor oil. That old 335 family Ford..... after the cam's been broken in and lived, a quality brand should keep it happy.   Like Rotela T4 🤔  now once the power steering is in it , Zina's apt to be out  smoke'n the tires right off it , That might require something for severe service like  BG .
