why would back air bags be higher then front air bags

You may have two leveling valves. You'll need to adjust one.

Did you actually measure the air bags and frame height when the truck is actually sitting on a level concrete pad?

How much difference are we talking?

Are you measuring the bag height from mounting surface to mounting surface?

Are both rear suspensions the same?

A change in components over the years could create a slight difference.

What is the truck, year model?

Get the ride heights specs from the dealer or a good truck shop using your VIN.  Park it on a level surface and see what you have for heights in comparison to the factory information.

Think he is going to need the Hendrickson Chicken Gauge to set it. Google “Mack Service Bulletin SB136012”.
