Popular Post Wobblin-Goblin Posted January 17, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted January 17, 2016 Fellas and gents, My family and I are planning an antique truck show here in Putnam, CT, scheduled for some time in July or (most likely) August. In addition to the typical "line up the trucks and walk around and gawk" stuff, we are also organizing a live demonstration event at the show, too, which will consist of loading up dump trucks, driving them a short distance in a pit, and then dumping the gravel. There aren't many events with opportunities like this, so we hope it is popular. It would be a great opportunity to have our trucks professionally filmed and photographed as they are working, preserving these memories for generations to come.Details will be forthcoming in the next few months, but the few things we are ironing out right now are how to pay the expenses of putting on such an event and venue rental. There will have to be a small entry fee for the trucks and a very modest parking fee for spectators, but we're hoping to limit the admission costs as much as possible.Stay tuned. 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

And show years ago was not in middle of summer. We had a lot of guys (contractors) who were just too out straight and needed a "day off"- not to say that can't happen in October as well- and while a lot of people bitched about the heat- they might be bitching about the "cold" in October!When in October this year, will you not be up against Mack fest and Gerharts show.No- Mackfest is Sept. and Gerharts is early Oct. Plus our feeling is we are a regional show and don't compete. How many of the trucks that you see at our show do you see traveling to PA?Yeah right; July in central Mass is a cool spring day around here.
