1958 F.W.D. Posted June 5, 2014 Share Posted June 5, 2014 That top one, Honeypot Fire Co of Nanticoke, Pa. is a 1963 Model FJS, 750gpm/500gallons. Was originally delivered with an F817G Waukesha but later repowered with a DT466/Turbo. They kept the 5-speed. Seats 6 (comfortably, too. Not cramped!) That particular cab was developed for line crews and other utility work, this rig is only one of four believed to have been built as a firetruck, and is the only one of the three known left that is in pristine condition. One is in pieces and will most likely never see the light of day again except to be scrapped, and the other one has a tree growing through it. I almost bought this one about a year ago- I came -----> <----- this close to doing it, until I came to my senses and remembered that I don't have any indoor storage large enough for it. And I am not the kind of guy that would store it outside 1. To deteriorate in the weather and 2. Subject my neighbors to seeing and dealing with it. I understand it went to a good home in Maine.
