I had it dismantled by the time she got there. Wasn't the water pump that broke...just the housing the coolant flows through that the water pump bolts onto.

I'da been waiting by the roadside filing my fingernails until the BETTER help got there. Saying Baby this is the way it's goina be.

I've only ever seen a similar failure ONCE and it was on a Cummins Formula 300,the water pump had a zerk on it that evidently no-one (including our shop mechanics) knew about,so after years of running dry,the bearing in the water pump finally failed,causing a "wobble" when it went it blew apart the housing that the pump bolts to,much like yours!...................................Mark
