Only made one trip this week because the truck was in the shop at Truck Enterprises from Friday until Wednesday. They put new springs on the drivers side, but they didn't have the spring so they had to order it on Monday, then they claimed UPS left it in Louisville, Ky. Monday night, so they didn't get it until Wednesday.I did see this nice looking Ford truck in West Virginia.And I saw this smoke coming from the stack at the power plant on rt.7 in Ohio. I was across the river on rt.2 in West Virginia.And the other T800 that I said was blue is actually more gray than blue...ok, it's actually all gray...100% gray, no blue at all. I don't know where I got blue from.Today I made stew for a benefit for a cancer patient. It turned out pretty good, they had a yard sale, auction, BBQ, singers, and I made the stew- free by the way, we just told people to donate whatever they wanted to donate. We served it by the bowl full or in styrofoam cups. I wasn't watching, but I saw some put a dollar in the jar, and I saw others put a $10 bill in. The best part for me was people coming back for seconds, even thirds, and saying it was the best stew they ever had.Getting started...now it's getting there...While the stew was cooking I looked around the yard sale for a minute. Went to ask about a stepladder I saw but it belonged to the auctioneer...then I spotted this broken clock.I could have gotten it for a dollar- what a steal!..But Jo said I didn't need it.The stew chef cook.I have to admit, it looks good enough to eat.And it must have been... 9 Quote Producer of poorly photo-chopped pictures since 1999. I forgot how many pounds of beast I put in it, plus 5 skinless boneless chicken breastesess, and a gallon each of tomatoes, peas, butterbeans, green beans, corn, 5 lbs. of potatoes, 3 lbs. of onions, a large can of tomato juice and a small can of carrots. I add tomato juice if it needs more liquid so it won't be watered down. I usually drain the liquid from the vegetables, except the corn. And we cut the beef up into bite sized pieces the night before and put it in a ziplock bag, then pour a bottle of Worcestorshire sauce in and let it marinate over night. I didn't really want to go anyway, because i've heard rumors that they're into cannibalism down there...just rumors though, I don't know if it's true or not.
