Ok, so, Papa and I went out today, took a few things off the cab then got the big air wrench out. Theres 4 bolts you need to take out. We broke 3. We had to cut 2 off, and the other broke. But, Papa got two 4 by 4's, cut them to 46 inches, then he stuck them into the cab so they fit snug in there. Then he got the tractor, put the forks on the bucket, then lifted the cab up just a little. Then, I got to drive Papas few month old Dodge pickup, and backed it up tord the Mack, put a strap on it, then Papa got in and pulled the rolling chassis ahead. Then we just pulled the cab right off with the tractor. I then got the job of cleaning all the rust off the fuel tanks, which was fun. I also pulled out the mats on the floor earlier. I have a ton of pictures, but Nana and Papas computer for some reason is slow and wont let me upload crap, but I'll keep trying for you guys.

Sweet!!!

I know right?!?!

Yeah!

I don't remember what we were discussing, but I'm certain I had the exact same conversation with my friends some 35-40 years ago. :)

Good to hear you're making some progress. I don't think my young heart could've handled the excitement if I were in your situation when I was 12.

Hey Vinny - congratulations, ain't that a good feeling? Could you please photograph the underside of the cab for me? I think I could use it for my model, and such photos are extremely hard to find on the internet. Thanks in advance, good luck with your project

Pawel,

I have a few parts book diagrams which show the construction and underside of the R cab. Only thing is, it's an early narrow cab not the plus 3 which the Superliner had but there must be a lot of common ground. I can post some scans if you are interested.

Oh yeah, I'm very interested. I bet you have much more diagrams in your books that would be interesting to me. But maybe you could post them in http://www.bigmacktrucks.com/index.php?/topic/19052-mack-rw-superliner-scale-model/ - my model thread to avoid cluttering up Vinny's thread with non-U-Model-related stuff :D

Thanks a lot in advance, have a nice day
