Weird Cast iron radiator on B61?

Recommended Posts

nope, just found the pic online. might have been from the aths site. I know there was a milk hauler down near kingston Ny that had a bunch of B61's with the B75 series radiators that they ordered this way.i was told they did this so they could put more ass under the hood if they had to in the future. they were runnin 711's with triplexs in them. I have seen na B61 with the B75 radiator and a B615 with it but never seen one with the cast B80 series radiator.

That pic was taken at Walcott. The B61 was owned & modified by Calvin Cochran,he worked it while building his more recognized B-61 with the B-75 radiator, now owned by Jerry Howard.Calvin put that radiator on there just to be different,he didn't know it was an option until I showed him a pic in one of the B model photo archives books. The truck in the pic is now owned by Iowa 80,it has a 237 Maxidyne,Duplex and air tag axle.

Thanks for posting,Fifth Wheel! As Superdog said,a picture of one was in a photo archive book.thought maybe it was an experimental truck, guess not!

IF YOU BOUGHT IT, A TRUCK BROUGHT IT..AND WHEN YOU'RE DONE WITH IT, A TRUCK WILL HAUL IT AWAY!!! Big John Trimble,WRVA
