Hey Rob,

Here in the south why should anyone look for a job when the government will pay you to sit at home on your @##!! Most folks would not have a job if it were offered to them. They are too lazy to work!! The bad part is the folks that ARE willing to work can't find a job because most co-operate organizations are shipping their products over seas to utilize "slave" or cheep labor. The old saying is true,,,Rich get richer and poor get poorer...

Exactly!! I have two friends from the high school days that are laid off from jobs they had in excess of 10 years. They were let go over two years ago. Neither, and I mean neither is out job hunting because they still have an income although significantly reduced. I call them both lazy morons, and imbeciles to their back, and face, (I'm no hypocrite) and then we don't talk for a couple of months. Fact of the matter is there IS work out there if you're not too lazy, or good to do it, (for the most part). This bullshit of extending unemployment benefits for laid off workers who don't even have to prove they are entertaining the idea of looking for a job has got to stop.

Small business with ideas and ideals built the morals, dreams, and reality of this country, yet we have become a nation of "sheep", (not from New Zealand either) that just follows the status "quo".

Politicians of both parties are the common enemy of the country that needs to be done away with.

You must have that thing they call (esp). I feel the same way. My wife don't understand why I am so against the way things are in this country., She says I was born 70-80 years too late and I must agree!! There are 2 things I strongly believe in in this life and thats the "chain-gang & public excutions!). You can't tell me that would not resolve several of this countrys problems. Simple, you don't work you don't eat!!

There is nothing wrong with treating a criminal like a criminal.

I'd volunteer to "throw the switch" if it were my choice. This is the way it would work if me: A first conviction resulting in a prison sentence would offer work programs and a chance at education and rehabilitation. A second conviction resulting in a prison sentence would be "hard labor", (as in breaking big rocks into little rocks with a sledgehammer) with enhanced programs offering a chance at rehabilitation. A third conviction would immediately assign a death sentence to the convicted with a 60 day window for the attorneys to legitimately appeal, or find fault before the sentence is carried out. The minimum length of any prison sentence would be 36 months, and the maximum would be 120 months. This would end the "career criminal" status and constant taxpayer burden.

The best way to ease the taxpayer burden is eliminate the program, and unwanted, or unneeded problems.

Take the country back. Eliminate the politicians and start over anew.

Now the pos potus is extending benifits again, but not to worry, he is creating jobs.....disassembling our military and nukes so we can be over run by Mexican drug lords. I've never been in such fear for my country as now. God help us if the sheep reelect him. I for one will not go quietly.

I have had a second truck bout a month now, still cant get a driver, and Im running my ass off everyday. heh heh,,summa you on here may remember a while back when I was putting thumb on excavator, a guy was walking down highway, i stopped and offered him 12.00 an hour to help me a lil while. He said "No thanks, I just need a ride". I just told him to keep his lazy ass walking then, and drove off. Lazy bastards around here....randyp

He was willing to use his thumb for a free ride, but not to help install a thumb?

NO cause he had his own thumb up his ass!

Not being able to work the kast month, I got to watch alot of cartoons and news (hard to tell which is which) I learned I was raised wrong! I grew up thinking a job was a job as long as I took care of me and mine it was good. Didn't matter if it was shoveling poop or driving a truck. Work is work as long as the money is green, no more unless your the boss all the rest is beneath you. . I do see where we are killing our own skilled labor pool. The Cat dealer where my grandson works needs a pair of "techs". The tech needs mechanical ability only, no diagnostic skills. The dealers reasoning is they have a parts room for that. Change parts till it's fixed. What a real suprise is, so far all the people who applied are Hispanics and Eastern Europeans. Why is that? Paul

you know, this might be slightly off topic, but that's why I liked Hugh Rowland on Ice Road Truckers. He didn't care if he was hauling poo-poo (there's youngsters here) or some vitally needed material as long as he was hauling something and getting paid for it.

Well i read that in virginia not too long ago,the government proposed "piss testing" for both the long term un-employed,and welfare or public assistance freeloaders, but of course the liberals shot this down because it infringed on their civil rights! Meanwhile the rest of us get to pay for these lazy bastards to sit around and do nothing! i am a firm believer in there is a job out there for those willing to work, granted might not be CEO,Captain, movie star, blimp pilot etc,but a job nonetheless! 43 weeks extended un-employment my ass! give em' a shovel, paint brush, trashcan etc.put them to some usefull task, highways littered with trash their other lazy bretheren cant be bothered to throw away, buildings covered with graffiti i'd damn sure put em' to work! (and not the fun type work, seen onTV) galls me to hear people whine about how bad they have it,when 95 percent of its their own doing!..........................Mark

And yet, WE, the people that are working, paying into the system to provide for these loafers ARE being pee tested.

Florida tried that too, but the $^%$^&liberals said the same thing

Oh, and food stamps/EBT, can be used to buy candy, soda, Mickie D's,. All the while, some ride around in Escalades with 24's and gots a big 54" LED at home.

This has really gotten out of hand. Why not restart the CCC camps like in the 30's? It would let people learn how to work while they drew unemployment so they would be more apt to keep down a job when they find it. They could do all sorts of things like Mark said - clean the damn ditches if nothing else. Oh no - physical work would violate their rights. I guess my dad was violating some right of mine when he taught me to swing an axe.

I do feel empathy for a lot of the folks - every one, even if they do not know it yet, feels better when they are a contributor to society and their own welfare. We have turned into a nation that is on average three generations away from rural life. A lot of these folks just have never held a axe, they never had to. I don't know the answer to how to teach them to work, but what we are doing now, which is basically throwing money at the problem with no results, sure as hell is not working.

I dont know where the unemployment money comes from (state ot fed) but why not have everyone work for it? To get unemplyemnt, you gotta get up everyday and go to work for the same government agency that is paying your bills? We are paying, why not get something in return, not talking about slave labor, but cleaning litter, painting , infrastructure work, there is LOTS to do in this country!

The people that are out of work through no fault of their own would be happy to do it, and would feel better about themselves, the ones that are abusing the system woulndt change, but at leaset we would be getting something back for our tax investment!

But it wont happen because of the bureaucracy involved in the oversite because the entities are so top heavy...

Won't happen til somebody with big onions and no I owe you pay back, gets elected. Heck a few states wanted photo ID card for voters,, no cost to the applicants, just prove you are a citizen and who you are... Nope it will stop minority voters. Collecting welfare , food stamps, unemployment, medicad or section 8 housing you get randon drug testing. nope, violates their right to privacy... a few states N.Y included tried to impliment "deportation by denial" , cutting of benefits to non citizens and non resident aliens, no welfare, food stamps or health care....period! Nope we're violating their rights. Now Washington will allow welfare reciepiants to use their atm cards in cassinos, liqour stores and bars. The more dependant they are on the BIg Nipple the more they will vote to keep the status quo. Just my blue collar, christian, politically incorrect view. Paul
