Your missing big picture on the minimum wage debate. The Democrats couldn't care less about what the bottom feeders are making other than buying a few votes. What they do care about are the unions. Many union contracts are indexed to the minimum wage. For example a starting wage under a contract may be 3X the minimum wage. So a $3 increase for the fast food grunt is a $9 increase for the union trainee and even more for higher levels under existing contracts. And there's nothing the employer can do about it. And guess who the unions are going to endorse?

A DEA officer stops at a ranch in Wyoming, and talks with an old rancher. He tells the rancher, "I need to inspect your ranch for illegally grown drugs." A short time later, the old rancher hears loud screams and sees the DEA officer running for his life, chased close behind by the rancher's prize bull. With every step the bull is gaining ground on the officer, and it seems likely that he'll get horned before he reaches safety. The officer is clearly terrified. The old rancher throws down his tools, runs to the fence and yells at the top of his lungs. "Your badge! Show him your badge!"

Those leg infections are nothing to fool around with. Back when I was in the building business we had a guy helping his son with landscaping. Hit his foot with an edger. Had it stitched up. Back a couple of days later, they removed his foot. Another couple of days they removed his leg. Couple of days after that he died. Easy to take apart. Clean everything and replace the O rings. There is a small filter that is the same as the fuel filter at the carburetor on 80's GM's.

Unless you have an air lock on the power divider, pulling the short shaft will leave you sitting.

After considering the Mack engine is shorter so the trans moves forward, driveshaft lengthened, new shifter hole, changes in air and fuel plumbing, changing the front mount may get into changing the cross member and spring hangers, the N14 may be your best option.

The big step between direct and overdrive is why everyone started specking roadrangers in the nineties. You might consider looking for a wreck and sell off the parts you don't need.
