  1. He should have turned and crushed her skull with the gavel . That would be compelling television.
  2. It was the padding above the rear doors. I was stepping around the cot not wanting to fall onto my patient, my foot hit a cot wheel, lost my balance, and BONK!! It bled for a good 20 minutes. I did get a little sympathy bandage from a nurse friend . She knows about my clumsiness. I refuse to file papers on this as I would have to file the employee and the supervisor reports. Not worried though,,,the skull is not a vital organ.
  3. I like this one also. It's what grown ups do with action figures.
  4. Did this a couple weeks ago in the back of the ambulance . The padding isn't as thick as they claim.
  5. UUUHHHHMMMMMM ,,,,,I saw a decent looking R700 on Ebay. It had some faded paint on the hood but looked ok otherwise. If I only knew someone passionate about 700's .
  6. With a lathe and some time you could make an adapter for a riding mower wheel to fit if you wanted. Rob is correct on the spline size and count. You could probably find a wheel out of any make from that era and just change the horn button.
  7. Do you maybe have a relay or dump valve sticking? This could (I think) let the pressure come down slowly causing the switch to think the brake is still applied. I will be the first to admit that I don't know a lot about air brakes but i do understand their operation.
  8. Yes have a good year and Happy Birthday!
  9. You little "problem" is the only one I know of that can clog an outhouse!
  10. Get a sign made to put on each door that says "Not for hire" When are you gonna be in town?
  11. Rob has a basic recipe for those critters.
  12. I am constantly asking myself "Who hired these people ",,,,,,,,,,then I remember that I did. Oh well.
  13. Your best source may be the neighborhood NAPA store. They have (or order) rebuild kits for my Zenith carb.
  14. I bet she got something for Nicki's truck and you have to install it,,,,,soon!
  15. Remember that 7/5ths of people don't get fractions.
  16. What year and model of truck? Is it the factory switch or an add on like a Truck-lite? It may be something as simple and hard to trace as a bad ground.
  17. Fred,,,I don't know of any candle that can remove the smell from his truck . You could rub all the aftermarket crap in the cab and hang a real pine tree from the mirror (if there was room) and still be driven to nausea and watery eyes due to the vapors that will peel ceramic from a cast iron tub . The last time I rode with you guys I rode in the bed remember? I even sat on the passenger side so as not to be downwind.
  18. That was here locally. Stow is about 5 miles from where I work. This was all over the local news. He ended up down close to where I live.
  19. There is a crazy guy in Illinois that won't sell any Mack stuff. His wife has threatened to remove anatomy or trucks and he doesn't care.
  20. Stats prove that the number one cause of crashes is pilot error. Second is mechanical failure on the plane. I think ground equipment is very low on that list. Pilots will never admit that they fouled up until the recorders are opened,if they are available. I know small planes don't have them.
  21. Seems from the other posts that the Swift drivers get a good start on scrapping trailers. I wonder how many zillion miles are on the buses!
  22. You know that any of the big 3 will be a good machine. I would stay with the Lincoln because you probably have all the accessories and consumables around. The variable voltage/speed settings are a huge plus. I don't like a machine that has 5 or 7 settings. At East Mfg. they were using a lot of older Linde machines and some newer Esab. They use the big 3 phase power supply and a remote wire feeder hanging on a jib boom. They are running aluminum mig wire on a 10 or 12 inch roll. It weighs about 15lbs. It was 1/16" wire and was pushed through a conduit about 10 feet long. I would love to have a small machine just for fixing dumb stuff that is too small to justify turning on a big machine.
  23. Inter-Navi-harvi-star does make a factory truck like that, so does Ford. The IH is on a 4300 chassis with 19.5 tires and a pickup bed. It is also offered as a 4X4. The Ford is based off of a 650 with 19.5's also. Most buyers use them to pull big 5th wheel rv's and horse trailers.
  24. The 7 wire is correct if you want the rear brake lights to flash during turns.
