  1. I don't buy global warming, it's a crock and a way for politicians (like al gore) to make tons of money off of. We've only been keeping accurate weather records for around 150 years. If you look through those records you'll see a cyclical pattern, weather patterns do change every so often. Watched a doc on the Krakatoa volcano years ago and it said that one explosion put more co2 and green house gases than we would (currently) in 100 years. Also hear how we're all going to die because of the rainforest being cut down but the same filmmaker made a doc on the taiga forest in Russia in which it stated the forest is big enough to clean the entire worlds air supply. Yet another contradiction. How many ice ages have we had? Seems to me global warming and cooling would need to happen for that to happen, again think cyclical. Read this article it's definitely something the media and politicians would never bring up because it contradicts what they've been preaching. http://www.forbes.com/sites/jamestaylor/2015/05/19/updated-nasa-data-polar-ice-not-receding-after-all/#6263165032da
  2. I bet the driver takes corners slow with that much weight that far out.
  3. Damn, I wanted to see the coronet run. Look up the Nelson Racing Engines (NRE TV on YouTube) episode where those guys got Tims 55 or 56 Ford F100 with a hemi in it running for him since the shop that built the engine couldn't. Cool truck, fun videos by those guys.
  4. We just hiked up to the cyclone lookout this summer. I always wanted to man a look out but the steady job hinders that. You can also rent lookouts not in use to stay in.
  5. Wow talk about irony. Crash a plane on the way to film a show about recovering plane crashes.
  6. Thanks you for the detailed explanation. I couldn't figure out how that would work but sort of understand it now.
  7. So there aren't any inclines in Europe? In the pic there appears to be mere inches between the fairing and the trailer which I'm sure helps aerodynamics but I want to know do they really run the cab and trailer that tight? If so do they have special flat routes they run? Or is the pic showing something totally unrealistic in a photo op? I would have a dented cab running things that tight for just one day.
  8. Whoops.
  9. ....and yet a 90 year old geezer with no other driving experience except for a compact car can jump behind the wheel of a 40' 300hp motor home with air brakes towing a full size pick up and none of these bs dot rules apply to them. Same goes for people again with no experience other than a car buying a big diesel pickup and a 30-40' 5th wheel with a boat behind that with no bs dot to deal with. The only state I've been in that had it right was Nebraska. When I was pulling bull racks I couldn't travel down the freeway (due to weight restrictions) on my way to Brule so I had to take a secondary highway that paralleled the freeway. Truck speed limit was 70 then it had a pic of a pickup with a fifth wheel and 50mph was their speed limit. Wyoming was great to travel across because there is one speed limit on the interstate for all vehicles.
  10. How can this truck enter any kind of in line without the cab smashing into the trailer?
  11. Me too, I was about to ask bob what the heck he needed a snowblower for in Reno.
  12. Excellent video but not likely to do is any good. Seems like Hillary could literally stand up at a speech, give the camera the finger and say I just want to get richer and run your pathetic lives and people would still vote for her. Can't stand that caniving career politician. There are many glaring facts, lies and cover ups around her that 95% of the media won't even acknowledge which really stinks.
  13. The Clinton machine at work again, I guess we're only allowed to speculate on the things they approve of. Dr. Drew’ show canceled days after his negative speculation about Hillary Clinton’s health - The Washington Post https://apple.news/Au1wAR6mYRH6qioyz-jZtdw
  14. So is/was maxidine an option?
  15. Unfortunately yes one of them will run the US. Take an honest look at what Obama has done to our country. Not saying everything was perfect before but he made choices that were/are horrible for the US. After a decade, you can't keep blaming the previous administration. He disarmed and mothballed a lot of our nukes because Putin wanted us to, he forced health care on us and even the person who made the bill said we are too stupid to realize it's a tax, he traded 5 terrorists for one traitor, he just let a pile more go, he and his admin let 4 Americans be murdered so it wouldn't interrupt his re-election, the IRS (headed up by a democrat) got caught targeting groups with opposing views, he has let Iran get nuclear capable, he drew a line and Syria stepped all over it and now look at the chaos, he refuses to call Muslim terrorists terrorists, he personally has caused more racial divide in this country since the 60's. So respectfully KS this is not a show, if we don't pull out of his nose dive, the US will without any doubt fold. I take this seriously and am truly worried.
  16. The truck that DailyDiesel posted is a nice looking truck. Classic lines on it for sure and it looks tough.
  17. How did they accomplish more power with less rpm? I've always wondered why some diesels don't lug very well and others pull like hell and will eventually settle in at an rpm and stay there rather than constantly down shifting until you in the bottom end of the low range? Thanks for sharing Ks.
  18. Same situation here. The natural dry creek bed is well below my house. It flows from the north and crosses my proper that the western edge and goes through town. It would take a gigantic plugging of the water way that would completely flood the whole town before it backed up and got any where near me north of town. I should take the gamble and get it surveyed.
  19. Like I said fema changed the zones without any surveying to help cover their butts. I know of one local guy who took the gamble and paid the $$$$ to get his place surveyed and it was out of the flood plain completely.
  20. Yeah fema changing it was bs. My house has been where it sits now since the '40's and suddenly it's high risk? It's a crock, I should just cough up the $4k and get the survey done and see if I can get put back in the zone c (500 year I think) flood plain like I was before.
  21. That sounds really cheap for flood insurance. After Katrina fema went ahead with out surveying and put the entire town I live in in a zone A flood plane instead of the zone c I was in. More than tripled my flood insurance. There's no shopping around for the fema flood insurance according to my agent and I pay around $200/month.
  22. LMAO!!! Good one bob.
  23. Yes, that's why it's SUBSIDIZED.
  24. Hmmm, the plot thickens. Hope you get it figured out soon. Good luck.
