  1. Your lucky I have/am going to still be busy puttin' up fur this weekend or I might drive my wife bonkers talking about this video that I am waiting to see. Have fun this week Vinny!
  2. I forgot to mention that there are a ton of oil drilling rigs still around here runnin' jimmy's. I love the sound, I want a 3 or 4-53 to put in my short box 79 dodge 4x4.
  3. with all this talk the last couple of days about the big mack v8 race motor I was looking around and found this. He must have pipes dumping under the truck as well as the stacks? Watch the black smoke puff out from under the truck at the beginning

  5. GD-It very well could be an 8v71, I asked the owner if it had a Jimmy in it and he said yes and then I asked if it was a 8V92 and he said yes so who knows? Not me. Olive-the owner was telling me that he wanted to buy a flatbed or drop deck for that truck to put a couple of water tanks on it for his sprayer. He said (with a straight face) that you know, those rail road ties really arent the way that should be set up!
  6. There are a ton of rv trailers for sale right now in MT because of the oil field work and I saw a 45 ft 5 th wheel for sale. Could you imagine pulling that with a pickup? I wouldnt want to, I have a 29 ft 5th wheel and it pulls really nice but thats all I would want behind my pickup. Maybe when I get my B model goin' I will pull my trailer and boat!
  7. Interesting, I hate that you can not trust the media for anything that can be spun or slanted. State the facts unbiasedly as you can and leave it at that.
  8. In MT if you are driving a commercial 1 ton vehicle you have to get a cdl, I think its a class d. And I agree 110% about rv'ers, hell they can even license a tractor as an RV and not need a CDL. What a load of crap, I do remember traveling on a secondary highway in Nebraska with a load of cows and the speed limit signs stated rv's, pickups pulling trailers were limited to 50mph while trucks were 65 or 70. It was satisfying to be able to pass all the geezers in their motor homes with the white knuckle grip 'cause a truck was passing them.
  9. Saw this today when I was out and about and took a pic, then visited with the owner a little bit about the truck. Owner says 8V92 with a Brownie, I just thought it was a classy looking old COE.
  10. Yes I am 1 to 1.5 hours away from the nearest "city". There is only 5 (I think) places to get the finger printing done here in MT and I went to the closest one. I love living in the country but things like this make it a pain sometimes but I wouldnt trade it for the city ever.
  11. I dont blame the mechanics, I would puke my guts out if maggots fell in my face.
  12. Well its been about a month now since I applied for the transfer to the energy division to haul crude. I have had to jump thru a few hoops to renew my HAZMAT that I just gave up recently thinking I could save the $100 renew fee and sock it away. The whole renewal process is kinda of a pain since I had to drive about 100 miles one way to get to the nearest TWIC approved place to take my finger prints and money. Now I am just in the waiting game for an interview and I hate the waiting game. I hope they get to it soon but I have my doubts since a gent I know that works at another location withing our Co-op waited about 3 months before he got his transfer. Well thats all I have for an update for now but I will keep BMT posted on whatever comes down the pike later.
  13. I thought my name was Damn It for years until I got my drivers license and saw my "real name" on it. Damn it get over here! Damn it clean that mess up! Damn it go do the dishes....you get the point.
  14. It seems at least once a year there is a news report of a local logger that gets complacent when its time to throw the wrappers around his/her load before entering the public roadway and doesnt see the power lines and gets fried. Lifes short, pay attention. Glad you are ok Hatcity.
  15. Guess it didnt get resolved.
  16. it looks like the "Boeing Bomb" from Joe Dirt, "its a meteorite". "no its a boeing bomb, see right here? that right theres a peanut. gives it away everytime."
  17. Odds and Ends where the topics do not have to necessarily pertain to trucks.
  18. Update!! I was visiting with my wife about what a let down the supposed story above posted which seems to be fake. She gave me that "you're such a dummy" look then typed for a second and told me matter of factly that it was a bogus story that originated on libertypost.org. it even had a statement from the silverbow county sheriff which also stated it was a fake. Where did she find this wonderful information?? Snopes, maybe everyone but me knows about it but I hadnt heard of it. Apparently this website is dedicated to disspell fact from fiction on the internet with real world facts to back up there ruling. Sorry about the let down when the story was found out to be fake guys.
  19. Could be, like I said it was an email paraphrasing a news article forwarded to me from a friend near the Butte area. The thread you posted argued real and fake as far as I read I am dissputing niether 'cause either way like Rob said its a heart warming story.
  20. Amazing girl….Lots of people don’t want this publicized. BUTTE, MONTANA Shotgun preteen vs. Illegal alien Home Invaders... Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11-year-old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home. It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay-shooting champion since she was nine. Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father's room and grabbed his 12-gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun. Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old's knee-crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals. When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive. It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45-caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David 0'Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest. Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news........? An 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home, and herself......against two murderous, illegal immigrants.......and she wins, She is still alive. Now THAT is Gun Control! Thought for the day.... Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist' I like this kind of e-mail! American citizens defending themselves and their homes. This is an email sent to me from a friend near Butte paraphrasing a news article.
