  1. and with one stroke of his pen your president spent more than all other previous presidents on socialized medical care. I think BOTH parties suck, in fact all politicians could give a shit less about this country, they just want to make a pile of money with never lifting a finger or contributing anything good to society. No matter what party you are for I cant imagine that you think its right that you HAVE to pay for everyone else's medical, food, shelter etc etc.. This country was founded by tough assed people who didnt play, race, gender or any other cards to further themselves. They worked hard (that was the begining of the American dream), saved their money (part two of the dream) for any of lifes "hiccups" and didnt depend on big brother (ie you and me) to pay for any of their blunders. Once they had what they felt was adequate savings built up they could by a house, land, farm, business, vehicle and not expect you and me to pay for it since its now everyones human right to own something. Then those tough assed people who founded this country kept on working hard to better themselves rather than expect society to cushion them from any kind of other mishap.
  2. I am guessing since your 673 is naturally aspirated that it would do it some good to have a little back pressure.
  3. There are quite a few Belarus tractors in my area. I guess they were bringing them in by the truck load (literally) and selling them dirt cheap compared to Deere's and Case's. Shifters seem really wierd to me the way you twist the knob for ranges and move the stick for shifting gears
  4. great scrap container idea Olive, I use the old caged chemical shuttles for putting scrap in. Take the bladder out then fill the cage thats attached to the pallet full of metal then take the forklift and easily load it on my trailer to haul away. I love good ol' fashioned ingenuity.
  5. Rock n roll buddy, what ever works for ya. Like Olive said, welcome to the best clown show on the 'net!
  6. At MSU Northern in Havre Mt (the birth place of Big Bud Tractors) they have a train specific diesel course and I remember looking in awe at the inline 16 cylinder that had pistons the size of 5 gallon buckets and injectors nearly as big as my arm. The gentlemen that gave us the tour said something to the effect of while pulling a full load with the throttle wide open to gain speed, each cylinder would burn about 50 gallons of fuel per hour. Pretty impressive.
  7. I bet Rob would know, if not he would make something up and I would believe him.
  8. Bummer, hope your insurance co. does right by you.
  9. are the rear axles on the Blue truck bent? in the second pic of it one looks bent up and one looks bent down.
  10. Awesome! thanks for sharing some of your family history.
  11. "you heard all of the stories about that randy fella and you believe him? I would stay away from that varmit"
  12. LOL where do you find this stuff?? Great video, I might join to so I can learn the "Breaker breaker cb stuff" and get my chain drive truckers wallet that will look bad ass when I hop out of my freightshaker.
  13. Neat ole bridge! I dont think there are any covered bridges in Montana.
  14. He means no muffler Vinny, ya know go LOUD and PROUD! Let everyone know that you have arrived. Going to be a cool rig when you are done.
  15. Mack suspension??? I thank all of you for your patience while waiting for me to get down and take the pictures. It was a good "date nite" with the missus tonight, drove to the river, shoveled a pickup load of aged horse manure for the garden, took pictures of the tanker and watched the moon rise from the suspension bridge on our way home.
  16. as promised pics of my tanker!! Its a little rough (ok alot rough) but hey its free and cool looking. Aftermarket axle conversion
  17. Look at me, I make posts AND get the pics up right away! show off.
  18. Why is the 5th wheel plate so far back that its only above the rear axle? Is this for hooking up a jeep? Seems wierd to me but I am sure there's a reason.
  19. I like the looks of that Sleeper B model, in fact I could use one so I could put the seat back farther and stretch out my legs.
  20. I am working on it bob lol, the snow storm made it a muddy $%#*! Sunday so I didnt venture out to try and take a pic. 19 miles on muddy, gumbo clay roads sucks and takes a lot of quarters to get it off before it dries hard as concrete. No promises but we may go down tonight to try and get a pickup load of horse manure for my garden and I will get pics on here ASAP.
  21. They also have a fantastic titanic exhibit in the Luxor in Vegas. It was set up very cool, they actually built mock decks built to scale to show you how small of an area that people had to stay in. At each area they had mini exhibits of people that were on the ship which included their logs and journals along with personl effects to add a personal touch to the whole thing. If you get a chance I thought it was worth while to see. Oh and they claimed to have the biggest piece of the ship on display there, it was a 26 ton (if I remember right) piece of the hull.
  22. Agreed, just like these dorks that go to a 6 month "Equipment Operators" school. Might learn how to check the fluids and service a few machines in 6 months but thats about it.
  23. Thought maybe my wife adn I were going to go fishing today (which the tanker is right long the way) but I woke up and there was a white covering of crappy april snow blanketing the landscape. BOOOOO !! Will try and get them soon.
  24. Yeppers GD you're right, use common sense and you shouldnt have a problem rather than trying to go strictly by a rule of thumb.
  25. I had a similar comment to fxfymn, my 5th wheel camper only gets moved 3-5 times a year and I have no problems. Also at work we use our trucks seasonally (spring&fall time) and we have had the same tires on for years with no problems. This sounds like a wives tale to me, lots of thoughts and opinions with no science to back it up. Like you said DOT would outlaw radial if this was really a problem since trailers can sit for some time in between uses.
