  1. I think I just puked in my mouth a little bit.
  2. Anybody? I know it vague but anything could help, things like firing orders, how much compression should the engine have, any usually have problems with this engine or anything else that may help me. I am going over to the Flathead sometime in the next month or so and have a mechanic lined up and would like to have as much info as possible that way I can maybe have these kind of technical answers for him so I can keep him moving and get my truck up and running before I run out of money to get her going. My goal is to get this truck running reliably enough to drive home 176 miles over a pass and to my house so I can tinker and work on it a little at a time as money allows at my leisure. Thanks guys.
  3. Went and took my test run with the driver trainer and nailed it! Had to take a straight tanker truck with a 4 axle tanker pup out to the oil fields and navigate thru some very rutted out trails (no gravel) and around some very tight fitting tank batteries. Then the trainer had me pull up on a gravel road intersection and back the outfit up so I could make a very tight turn into a gate to go to the next tank battery. Had no problems with the driving test, aced everything according to their trainer. To my surprise when I got back I got an unannounced interview and feel it couldnt have went better. The fella that interviewed me was second in charge at the facility and did the interview because the head boss was out of the office 'til today. At the end of the interview I shook the man's hand and he said he would like to see more of me around and I asked when I could expect to hear from them and he said the boss will be back monday (today) and we will just have to go from there. I am very confident that I will get this job, everything just seemed to fall into place, people seemed happy with training run and the interview. So now I just am waiting very anxiously. Oh and did I mention its a hell of a big raise and you only work 3 yes three days a week!!!! Yes they are long days (12-14hrs) but hell I work a lot of long days here 5, 6 sometimes 7 days a week!!! Think of all the time I will have to work on my Mack. Will let you guys know as soon as I do.
  4. Hell yeah, you S.O.B. Olive I had my hopes up again and they were crushed....again. LOL great picture.
  5. Another CL find!! 1969 Osh Kosh 4x4 Snow Plow with live hydraulics, 250 cummins, 10 speed, Hi and Lo Ranges and chains for all four tires all for a low low price of $15000.00 LOL have fun getting $15K for that dinosaur.
  6. Sorry I thought the price go attached in my copy and pasting, anyway it was $2000.00. I dont have a clue what model Bob, I was just browsing and thought it was kinda of cool, clean old fire engine
  7. Thanks for explaining that to me. Not trying to get personal but I was wondering is it considerably cheaper to get a glider kit built the way you want rather than tracking down and buying a factory truck that is built the way you want? Just curious about the ins and outs of this glider kit stuff.
  8. Thanks, that will help get the mechanic started (hopefully) on my truck.
  9. Yeah love our genius' like Gore, burn another fossil fuel (urea) to pretend the emissions are cleaner. What is a glider kit? Is it just putting a cab on a different chassis?
  10. FUGLY!!!

  14. I am 3 1/2 hrs away from my Mack and I have a mechanic that would like to start working on it for me since I never seem to get a chance when I am home to see the family because I get put to work . So the mechanic wanted to know what fuel pump the truck had (i thought it was a 6 BB2 bosch?) and any other specs, diagrams and schematics. I dug thru the wiki pages and found a little info but could definitely use any help since the big repair manual my dad bought for the truck is the wrong one. Any help would be appreciated!!! HG P.S. I have an all but new TS-473 Manual that I would be willing to trade for a TS-442, let me know if any of you are interested.
  15. Blame the bad visuals on GD, he put 'em up and defiled my thread! I will keep you guys posted.
  16. Well as promised I am updating my progress on this post good or bad and just when I was starting to think I didnt make the cut I recieved a phone call today asking if I could come up and go for a driving test with the companies driver trainer this friday!! Told the gentlemen I needed to make sure I could get the time off from work got the time off and I get to go try out for the team friday. I guess there are 6 other finalists that are going to try out as well. I wont have any trouble with the driving portion so hopefully everything just clicks and my already working for the company (just a different division) will give me the edge. Let you guys know how things are going when I find out more.
  17. I forgot to say that I could see a big horn ornament sticking up that sure looks to be a bulldog sticking up.
  18. I was running a load of 28 solution today when I thought I spied an ole Mack sittin' next to the freeway. I dont think you can see the fenders in the photo very well but they are squared.
  19. Must be like the 2 or so feet of chain that you see on combines rear axles that drag on the ground to prevent any dust explosions.
