  1. My dear departed old trucker buddy would say, "Lad, them tannums' look cambered. . ."
  2. Best explanation I've ever read.
  3. Not to hijack the thread (although its related). My Super with E9 has an engine brake.... are they controlled through the governor housing only? Or did they also come with a switch on the clutch pedal?
  4. How about that exhaust....
  5. That is KOOL. I dig the orange steelies w/ chrome caps
  6. I was looking at a '75 RL700L with a factory two stick 12 speed in it.... it also has a V8.... badge on it calls it a Maxidyne.... shouldn't it be a Thermodyne?
  7. The cut-outs were just for muffler fitment. . . if you go with straights no need for cut-outs correct?
  8. "Side. Curtain. Air-bags. Deploy!" idiot If I ever get back on the road, I'll have a dash cam too. Ron
  9. During the second World War, there was a number of German-Americans who left the US to fight for the Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit//Für das deutsche Vaterland! {For unity and justice and freedom. . .for the German Fatherland!} Seriously doubt the Syrians have the gonads to do the same.
  10. I love it when Bill Mahr and I agree.
  11. Anybody have pics of a R model cab with a bunk and set forward stacks without the 'cut outs'....? Is that possible?
  12. Am I to understand you work for Scania?
  13. From what I've read on this site, lots of cracked heads....and limited parts availability
  14. Is there a deleted post somewhere?
  15. Gosh, I'm having a hard time seeing how there's room for those brackets between the sleeper and the cab. Kind of a tight fit eh? {l@@k at that, an even 6000 posts:)}
  16. This bunk is odd in that it has the full door on one side, and only the compartment door on the other.....
  17. I'm fighting with myself about cutting the back of my cab out. Its a rust free truck, but you're probably on to something with modifying both to the "V" style. (I'm one of those people who needs to talk things out before I make decisions.....) Thanks for reading the post from the beginning. I was toying with the idea of just making it into a daycab, but you see so few Macks with sleepers on them these days.
  18. I didn't know they did.... What do they look like?
  19. Any pics of those brackets? My Superliner has a bracket, but it was homemade and its kinda flimsy... Curious to know what the correct brackets look like.
  20. Rivals Timothy Mikshilo's New Zealand pics! (Minus the mountains of course)
  21. Any idea who may have manufactured it? I couldn't find ID any place.... Lighting was terrible and short on time didn't help. How many bunks have you guys seen with those cut-outs? And one more question; do all sleeper equipped R models have the stack bolted to the cab?
  22. Baird street looks like a cul-de-sac that no truck has any business being on!!! Where was the articulated CaseIH at? Thats a lot of tractor for this part of the country! I especially liked the Gleaner combines... spent a fair amount of hours sucking dust in one myself (cough, cough, choke)
