  1. If you plan on asphalt work a barn gate latches make it wider and when in paver if operator or you move gate side hinges and latches hit.Joe D.
  2. Later years Associated used IH Emeryvilles with sleepers. When they went out in mid 70's they ran quite a few IH 2000D'S with Cummins. They had a big terminal in Dunmore,Pa.shop could rebuild everything. They had their own dynometers. Joe D.
  3. I think his name is Daryl Whitman that lives near Binghamton that has a 4 door R-Model. It looks pretty good with lots of room for Family. I do not think any Cummins with an aftercooler would fit in a 758 chassis, 290 Cummins were put in from factory. Being it was built with a 6V-53 maybe a 6V-71 or 6V-92 Silver would fit. They put out decent HP and sound great.Joe D.
  4. I think I got a flyer from Iowa 80 that had Bulldogs with eyes that light up. Joe D.
  5. Roadway Truck Stop in Milesburg,Pa. was a good stop good food and garage was always ready to help you out. Boron at old exit 3 on I-80 Barkeyville,Pa. was good. Back in 70's about every exit on I-80 in Penna. had a full service Truck Stop.Anyone remember Snyder's Gateway Truckstop at Breezewood,Pa junction of I-70 and I76 Pa.Tp. good food, garage and bunkhouse was only a few dollars a night. If you slept in your truck fuel guy would come out and wake you up at designated time. They were the good old days. Joe D.
  6. Larry I forgot about the Vega. Joe D.
  7. How about on Rockford Files Jim is being chased by a F-Model Mack Bobtail. It kept up with Jim pretty well. On one episode of the old Hawaii 5O there was a Donald Duck IH DC 400 with 2 sticks chasing or ramming a car. Joe D.
  8. I forgot to add but most probably know that C-Models used B-67 fenders. Joe D.
  9. General Ike H.B.Sproul was located in Scranton,Penna. They are in Clarks Summit now and have a very short wheelbase Superliner V-8 I think. Their C-Model is owned by a rigging crane company on Keyser Avenue Scranton. I do not know if related to RC Sproul. I cannot think of name now.Their was a C-Model V-8 in Craigslist or Truck Paper in Oregon tandem with tank on back in the last year.I do not know if it sold. Joe D.
  10. Hard nose B-61 for cooling. There were B-67's with same hard nose radiator. I think Mason-Dixon or other Southern Carrier had them. There was one near my garage a few years ago. I did not see it lately. It had a Fuller 10 speed Roadranger from factory.Joe D.
  11. I should have put down if anyone is interested in a coffee. Let me know I'm buying. Last of the big spenders.Sorry about that. Thanks Joe D.
  12. There are 2 running C-Models by me. ABoth single axle one has 673 and I think Quadbox it was Ezra Stipp or H.B. Sproul low boy tractor. The other one is a 711 with unishift, winch on back, winch more for show I think this one was at Macungie a few years ago..Joe D.
  13. Ernie are you down in Florida yet? I am in Boca for a few days and going on cruse next week. I will be back on 26 Jan. If you are in town maybe we could meet up for a coffee. Joe Ditchkus.
  14. Jim Conally also had a B-61Sx that is sitting at Highway next to Pilot at Exit 175 on I-81. It must need engine work as the hood and fenders have been of of it a few years.Cab looks good from highway. Joe D.
  15. Paul I know you were actively pursuing that Marmon as i was reading your posts about for awhile. Nice picture Pawel. Seems to be quite a few Mack,Ford and Freightliners in the Islands. First time i was in St. Marteen about 10 years ago my wife and I had a rental car and ridinf thru the countyside I found a 700 series Brockway much to my surprise. I went back last year and it was gone. It was not in running condition soI imagine it was scrapped. This was on the Dutch side of Island. Joe D.
  16. Good Luck is all I can say. Joe D.
  17. Steve nice trucks. Joe D.
  18. I know they had problems on I-81 same as when they did Green Ridge Street in Scranton. That street is the one Triple Cities Mack is on. They beat where I work Pennsy Supply on quite a few bids last year. Joe D.
  19. It looks like John Connaly's truck from Luzerne,Pa. I think it used to pull a beam trailer. Nice DM. Joe D.
  20. Looks like it was updated to a 300. Joe D.
