    They are 24 x 8.00 and they were bought new with a set of brand new 12 x 24 radials in 2003 for a b81 project. The tires have already been sold.

    Those F models were bought new by Holland Lumber Co. from Millers Tavern, VA and Dick Holland claimed they would top Afton Mountain with 90,000 on at 45 to 50 mph. I think there were 3 or 4 of them and when they were sold off Dick lost track of them. He and P.L. were good friends which is I guess how he ended up with one.

    Early TS24's used them in the tractor before being replaced by 12v71

    The weird thing is it is a RL795 (325 Maxidyne) but it says it has a twelve speed which was mostly found in the 797's with the 375 thermodyne.

    IH made their own components at one time.

    An E9 is an awesome motor until you have to work on one that someone didn't take care of or abused. They are not as forgiving as the old e6's. If you have to do major work on an E9 in today's world you will soon know that the highest priced items are not painted cat yellow but, instead Mack gray!

    Anybody else notice that the E9 predecessor was an option F735 ET1005? How did they get it in the frame? Never saw this listed as an option in any truck other than superliner or cruiseliner.

    I had a '85 magnum that was one of the canada trucks. It had the 500 E9 and a 12 spd with 44k camelback spoke cone style rears and alum. fronts. I will look for the serial #.

    Our company had a twin screw Mason Dixon B67 with a 711 and a unishift for a lowboy tractor in the mid to late 70's

    I don't know why he got a 310 motor unless someone made him believe it was like the old 300's (what a joke)

    Yes he wanted to retire but just decided to keep the truck and his Landoll until someone made him a fair offer. He sold both and now I think he will probably just do consultant work for rigging jobs on the side.

    I know the gentleman that owned that truck he was in the rigging and hauling business. He took excellent care of his stuff.

    Judging by the large radiator and the 864 it is probably a B-815 which is kinda rare.

    Hey guys don't group all LT and LTL owners together. I have met assholes who restored many models of mack and I have met LT owners who were as nice and helpful as any of you guys. I own a '49 LTL and I am doing my own work and I respect anybody who restores any vintage truck at any level. From what you have said I feel like I may have gotten a good deal on mine, I paid under $10,000 and it drives and runs with zero rust. Anyway just don't be so quick to judge a man by his truck for better or worse. Thanks

    Does anyone have a LT or LTL with one of the custom new hoods made by the sheetmetal company in Oregon? If so can you tell me if they reproduced the raised bead on the side of the top to match the raised bead on the cab and door. Thanks for the help.
