  1. I have seen this on a bunch of Superliners, it seems to be the air ride bags deflating, although this one looks worse than most of the others I have seen. Perhaps these are totally deflated. I wonder it they can get pinched, and ruined, when this happens . . . . .
  2. It sold, with less than 5 minutes left, someone bid. Was it one of you?
  3. Check out the front hubs: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/mack-r-tractor-/110939153807#ht_500wt_948
  4. I have seen this before. Do you get it when you are listening to a tape/cd? If you don't, I would suggest checking the connections to the antenna. It might be anywhere form the back of the radio to the mounting point of the antenna. Leave it on while you foozle with it to see if the whine goes away when you move the wire around. I suggest having some electrical tape around to wrap up the spot you find, assuming it isn't a loose connection. Good luck.
  5. Nice shots. Looks like a beautiful day to be out and about.
  6. The fourth picture down looks like the dump body is pushed over to the side just like the cab . . . . .
  7. Ahh, but the ad is not offering yard space, at least not alone, it is offering garage and office space also. There is more going on than meets the eye . . . . .
  8. Complete agreement, I like it too, except for the pink . . . . . er red, whatever it is . . . . . .
  9. Ah, and the plot thickens. Now that I am reading through my copy of the truck buyers guide, I find a 1/4 page ad on page 20 from the owner of Aran Trading looking to lease garage office space. From the description, it sounds like most of his work space. Here is the online copy. I cant get it to load, because I don't have flash . . . . http://www.tbg-truckbuyersguide.com/online-publications-new-england.asp
  10. I emailed the lister. He said it really isn't pink, "more of a red". I think we have a winner for Maddog13407, sounds like it was painted red, and faded, and just "looks" pink. Were it my listing, I think I would have mentioned that in the description.
  11. Their ad in truck buyers guide says "Dave wants out of the old Mack business". It lists other trucks like normal, but only the steel nose DM from the "old Macks". I guess he dropped the online listing because they were not generating leads . . . . .
  12. Global truck traders bought a small ad for al in truck buyers guide. On page 4 on my paper copy, I can't get this version to load without flash, but it should be there: http://www.tbg-truckbuyersguide.com/online-publications-new-england.asp
  13. i was just about to post about the pink frame . . . . remember the purple R model? ya know, it actually looks pretty good other than the pink accents and frame . . . . . ya just cant win, i suppose . . . .
  14. I agree with RowdyRebel, I think it might have ended up looking ok if they had just finished with the MH grill and trim, rather than trying to graft on that pathetic piece of volvo plastic onto the front. I do wonder what happened to the doors from the donor MH that they were using different ones . . . . Although they seemed to line up ok . . . . .
  15. interestingly enough, none of the "classic" trucks are listed, only the "antiques". and he takes one of the spots to showcase some race car he supports. i wonder if he is just tightening up on the "collection", or if everything is moving down the road . . . his listings tend to hang around for a long time . . . . i also wonder if this has something to do with al curtis' death. someone here mentioned they were good friends . . . . i like the new viewer, you can jump right to the page using the drop down menu and selecting aran trading. i dont like that it uses flash, which doesnt run on my phone, so i had to track down a computer to look at it on . . . .
  16. The whole body tilts up. You need a really tall garage to work on it, and it takes two days to clean out all the crap that falls into the cab. Sorry, not helpful, but sometimes I can't stop myself.
  17. Wet kit behind the sleeper. And a gooseneck trailer hitch. Wow. Has potential, although pictures can hide a lot. There is rot on the passenger door, as an example . . . .
  18. Sadly, I have found this to be true of almost everyone I have met, especially when they are asking for advice.
  19. I find it interesting that there are no other vehicles in the image. Noting trying to get by, nothing parked . . . . . .
  20. One owner for the last 28 years. I bet you could also say one driver for the last 28 years.
  21. well, i would have expected a fire sale, or auction, or something if this was a traditional going out of business situation. . . . . . . . just one day the truckpaper.com listings disappeared (i often check out the superliner listings to see what is out there, and they were always there near the top of my listing (sorted by distance)). well, i suppose i could always get off my ass and drive up there and check it out myself . . . . . . just hoping one of the insiders here had the story . . . .
  22. so, one of the local dealers, aran trading, has disappeared from truckpaper.com, and their web site doesnt answer. at this point, it has been several days. any of you local Massachusetts people know anything about what is going on? there is a CL listing for an old fire truck with their number . . . .
  23. Is a 93 a classic? Anyway, the orange is not flames. It looks like he just drove through a large paint filled balloon . . . . . . http://www.truckpaper.com/listingsdetail/detail.aspx?OHID=3769441 Not a bad price. They are so quick to offer ese for export . . . .
  24. Really? That is too bad, I bought my truck from them . . . . . . I wonder what will happen to the company. I dealt with Bruce Knight. My impression was that they were partners, but I really am not sure . . . . .
  25. The main body is a manure spreader. I am surprised you could get the smell out of that old wood.
