  1. these is a small brass or ? washer in the hole of the head. this make your injector seal. exaclty like the little washer on hyd. brake hose.... remove it, put some grease at the end of a flat screwdrivers and clean the hole (grease keep the dust and bad thing from falling inside) put a new washer and torue your injector back. make sure that the problem is that seal before loosing couple of hours doing it..
  2. sometimes fuel lines need to be replaced. best way let idle your truck and open each injector line one a the time and take attention at the sound of your truck. tell you big tings. if one injector is bad, whe you'll open the line the sound won't change that much... easy way to save times! also try to fix you leak before... if it leak there is less fuel to the injector so it can cause these symptoms...
  3. this trck is from Quebec. probably only abused during truck races... there is anoter one with a sleeper with probably the same set-up. both trucks pulls like hell! coule of pics at www.camdrag.com this trck is from Quebec. probably only abused during truck races... there is anoter one with a sleeper with probably the same set-up. both trucks pulls like hell! coule of pics at www.camdrag.com
  4. check out your puff limiter and it's cylinder... what's going on with boost pressure? pyrometer? if nothing abnormal you'll have more serious test to do..
  5. try change your fuel filter first if you guess about fuel quality!
  6. this parameter can be change by your dealer. you can remove it, or add a couple of minutes before it shut down. but if you just hit the throttle switch, you won't have to change anything. I really don't know why driver don't put throttle. idling is bad for an engine, run to cold, oil pressure a bit low, oil ring does not clean sleeve enough! I'm driving a mixer truck, my Mack do not run at idle except on red light... idle is bad.
  7. maybe stamped friday night late... ever seen something like this
  8. wht special equipement the dog is wearing? need to protect it
  9. pump set-up must change too, not the same fuel with 0 boost and 20? psi! for the cooling jet under the piston, it also depend on how you use your truck. if you work with it, well it may not be the right thing to do, but if it's a toy that you just want to add a turbo I'm pretty sure you won't burn that engine
  10. my DMM with a 285 mixer truck with a 5 speeds can handle any truck with a 350 (non mack for sure). small but unbeatable!
  11. if you do't have a switch, you don't have the lock... well I guess
  12. before rebuilding it, make sure the lock ystem is in good shape, check for air leaking. get somebody in the truck and make him flip the switch to make sure your ear or feel it on the divider... lot's cheaper!
  13. nop, DMM. also own a 74 Dm with the flat back. bought new in 74...
  14. I'm ready to put a 24 packs! yeap it's true they change the handle to grab in the truck in 72-73. but notice the back of the cab, one is flat and the other got a bigger curve at the bottom. in 72-73 they remove the old metal dash and green interior for the tan/beige one. nobody change the cab on my truck I'm sure of it... they extended the cab a few inches in 85-86 at the sime time of the dark blue/gray interior.
  15. hummm not right HK, maybe they get the back longer 2 times... we hae 85 Mack with the small cab (behind look flat) and 86 with the new model
  16. changed the cab in 85-86.. the back of it gain a few inches. only changes dash from metal to vynil in 72-73, am I right?
  17. depend of the engine, tranny... 81 got small cab and old fuel tank etc... worth less then 86 and up. it also depend of the quality of the truck, if it's a truck that have been abused for years or a truck maintened for years! take a look at the frame, double frame with the time open and crack... but 2000$ if the truck is plated and inspected, it seems to be nice...
  18. you're crazy... Superman save people, Superdog save Mack Truck!
  19. not yet approved... maybe it's why there's no Mack emblem... i'm not sure, but the triangle near the front grill look pretty bad without a Mack in it..
  20. lots of nicee pieces... hope next year i'll have more times to go...
  21. I wish that all of thm can whisper some times, would be easier to find them behind old garage, barn...
  22. a true Mack got a bulldog stamped on every parts... well I mean.. does this one..?
  23. I'm glad to be in America! do they have plastic 6'' straight pipe??
  24. you have to deal with the driver too. some drivers will go easy with the steering when loaded, others will just play to turn one side to the other while waiting for the green light... you gotta do with the terrain too. if the truck step sidewalk 20 times a day and ride at 50mph in bad road... well it'll happens...
